Now that J Lo and Steven are out, "American Idol" producers are looking for new judges to fill their seats - and we have exclusive details! Mariah Carey has already officially signed on to be a judge for the next season of American Idol. Producers are now in talks with Nick Jonas and Pharrell to fill the vacant seats left at the judges table!

According to US Weekly, Randy Jackson is being moved into a "mentoring role", so there are now two available judges positions. A source tells Hollywoodlife.com exclusively that it was Mariah's idea to add Pharrell as a judge because she is "really interested in working alongside him".

Mariah really wants Pharrell or an R&B artist to join her at the judges tables. The source added, "The people at Fox and Idol are very much taking her requests seriously." According to US Weekly, producers are close to signing Pharrell and are currently negotiating his contract. "Everything is looking good, but they're still working out details," an insider says.

In addition to Pharrell, Idol producers are currently pursuing Nick for a judges position. "Nick is pretty close to signing to be the Idol judge," a source tells US Weekly. "They flew him in to L.A. last week for final meetings." According to the source, Idol producers want Nick because they "think he can help bring that younger demo to the show".
