OPI Spring/Summer 2013 Euro Centrale-style

Who isn't inspired by travel? Fresh from adventures around Europe, OPI invited the Professional Beauty team to experience the continent through the hues of their Spring/Summer 2013 Euro Centrale nail polish collection. Over a breakfast coffee, we were given free rein to explore the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania through twelve individual "Euro-chic" shades. Fully embracing the EU spirit, OPI... Eurso Euro is reminiscent of the EU flag in the deepest continental blue. Kicking off the adventure in Poland, Polka.Com, a glitzy, glittery blue and violet combination, is perfect for dancing the night away. Hands Off My Kielbasa!, a daytime barely-there shade, is ideal for the morning after, whilst I Saw.. U Saw.. We Saw.. Warsaw captures the excitement of the city in a midnight blue. And who could resist OY-Another Polish Joke!, a shimmery gold-blonde for all-out glamour.

OPI next journeyed south to the Czech Republic, where the iridescent copper of a Woman's Prague-ative mirrors the high-shine of the capital. Meanwhile, the envy-inducing aqua of Can't Find My Czechbook suggests pastels will be big news again next year, too. This theme continues into Hungary, where the sugary-sweet You're Such a Budapest lilac confirms the return of the softer hues for spring. Suzi's Hungary AGAIN! contributes a pop of pink to the collection, and My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours is a timely reminder that sizzling brights will continue to fuel trends.

Finally, OPI takes us to Romania, the traditional home of the vampire. Vant To Bite My Neck offers a dangerously seductive deep purple, a dramatic contrast to the pale and creamy skin-like tones of My Vampire is Buff.

In addition to the fashion-inspired Euro palette, OPI also revealed their latest celebrity collaboration: Mariah Carey by OPI. Within the eight limited edition shades (A Butterfly Moment, Sprung, Anti-Bleak, Pink Yet Lavender, Can't Let Go, The Impossible, Stay the Night, and Get Your Number) four feature OPI's brand new Liquid Sand technology. Tapping into the texture trend, the lacquers dry with a 3D, matte finish with added reflective sparkle. With its pebbly effect, nails lightly shimmer with no need for a top coat. We can't wait to try!

All twelve of the Euro Centrale shades as well as Mariah Carey by OPI are available individually at £11.50, while a mini four-pack retails at £13.95.
