Against all sense

Westlife are to record another duet with Mariah Carey, it has emerged. The Irish boyband, who collaborated with Carey earlier this year to record a version of the Phil Collins track, "Against All Odds", are keen to get back in the studio next year.

Speaking to a UK tabloid, Westlife's manager, Louis Walsh, explained: "There was real chemistry when they worked on Against All Odds. We want to record with her again because it would be a great way to bolster her profile in the UK and introduce Westlife to the Americans."

The transatlantic team is also planning to perform at the inaugural Top Of The Pops Awards this Friday. The Westlife boys will join the recently hospitalised diva for a performance of her song, "Never Too Far". TOTP's all-star line-up will also feature Kylie Minogue, Atomic Kitten, Jennifer Lopez, Wheatus, Travis and Hear'Say. Wyclef Jean will also perform a number of hits with Welsh crooner Tom Jones
