Mariah stuns with "Beautiful" performance at BET Awards
Mariah Carey, Miguel and Young Jeezy rocked the stage at the 2013 BET Awards, with their epic remix of "Beautiful". Wearing a white sparkly dress, Mariah not only sang "Beautiful", she looked it too. Mariah, 42, Miguel, 27, and rapper Young Jeezy took to the stage to sing Mariah's newest hit, and Young gave it a fresh vibe with his original rap.
Mariah seemed happy and upbeat, which is big change since last year's award show, where she cried about the loss of Whitney Houston. Plus, she looked so slim and amazing in her dress. Mariah is focusing hard on her music this year, and saying goodbye to other commitments.
It was announced May 30 that Mariah will not be returning to American Idol for a second season, because she was instead planning a world tour. "With the global success of #Beautiful (#1 in 30+ countries so far) Mariah Carey confirms world tour and says goodbye to Idol," tweeted Mariah's PR firm.
Though Mariah's feud with fellow judge Nicki Minaj created lots of buzz prior to Idol's season 12 premiere, viewers quickly tired of the duo's on-camera shenanigans once the season began. If her tour is as good as this performance, it is going to be epic. (Hollywood Life)
