Mariah Carey isn't a huge fan of Nick Cannon's stand-up

Word on the street suggests that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are experiencing some trouble in martial paradise in recent days. A lot of the rumors seem to stem from a recent interview the singer did in New York. In addition to discussing her husband's busy work schedule, the former American Idol judge also dropped a few details about Cannon's stand-up routine. In short: She hates it.

According to the folks over at News.com.au, Mariah Carey explained why she doesn't care for the stuff Nick Cannon discusses when he's on-stage. In her humble opinion, the comedian spends a little too much time sharing their personal business with a room packed full of complete strangers.

"In his world, he feels, in the world of comedy, that he can have license to say things that he wants to say. But if it goes too far, that doesn't mean I'm not gonna say, 'Check please'," Carey explained. She continued, "I can't tell him don't talk about this or that. But for me, I look at certain relationships in the public eye, and I think, 'See that's class, when you don't have to talk about that relationship that much.' I'd much prefer that he silencio, just a little bit."

Mariah Carey also discussed living in Los Angeles, a city that she apparently doesn't care much for at the moment. Since the singer grew up in NYC, she doesn't see herself relocating to the wilds of California anytime soon. "I like to work at home in my little studio. The house in L.A... I mean, he loves L.A. But I'm from New York," she explained, adding that the couple relocated to the West Coast after he landed a hosting gig on America's Got Talent.

Radar Online fueled rumors that there was trouble in paradise after pointing out that Mariah Carey wasn't with Nick Cannon during his appearance at the 2013 TeenNick Halo Awards in Los Angeles on November 17. The website also pointed out that the couple hadn't appeared in any photographs together in over 107 days.

Following rumors that their relationship was in danger of falling apart, Nick Cannon posted a picture of he and Mariah Carey locked in a loving embrace. The folks over at the Daily Mail have the image in question if you're curious to see what it's all about.
