Take a look at this 1993 MTV interview

Happy birthday to the queen diva herself, Mariah Carey. While we don't know exactly how the R&B songstress will be celebrating her big day, I'm guessing it will involve rainbows, butterflies and Dem Babies. I, on other hand, will be watching one of my favorite movies of all time, "Glitter", on repeat to commemorate the birth of a true diva.

As we all know, Mariah has enjoyed quite an illustrious career, with the most number one hits as a solo artist, 200 million records sold worldwide, and 14 albums that helped me through many emotional moments of my life.

MTV has been right there with Mariah every step of the way, meeting with the superstar at various points of her career. We thought it would be fun to celebrate the Elusive Chanteuse with this amazing throwback video. Former MTV News correspondent, Tabitha Soren, sat down with Mariah in 1993 for a segment in the show "Week in Rock". She had Mariah opening up about her childhood on Long Island and how she'd always dreamed of being a singer.

Bonus: We also get to see Mariah's yearbook pic and find out her interests, which include: corvettes, guidos and sleeping late. Lambs, it's a must watch.
