New music: Mariah Carey - "Infinity"
Mariah Carey is back with her highly-anticipated single "Infinity" from her forthcoming compilation #1 To Infinity. Out May 18, the album also features all 18 of the singer's No. 1 hits. "Close the door, lose the key, leave my heart on the mat for me," Mariah sings, expressing that sometimes relationships just don't work out. "I was yours eternally, there's an end to infinity."
The song is cleverly written and has a triumphant message. The high note at the end is also redemptive given the heavy criticism of Mariah's voice as of late. #1 To Infinity coincides with the May 6 launch of Mimi's residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
