She's not here

Mariah Carey lived up to her diva reputation on Tuesday night when she was late for a live TV interview. Andy Cohen, host of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, was left hanging alone for a few excruciating moments while he waited for the singer to arrive. The 47-year-old host was also sitting in the chair usually allocated for his guests, rather than his usual seat, because the tardy powerhouse insisted on displaying her "good side".

"I love live TV because not only am I sitting in the wrong seat, I'm not sure why, I'm sure she'll tell me when she gets here, but Mariah Carey is not here," grumbled Cohen as he waited for Mariah's arrival on live air. "She's not here. I think she's coming up in the elevator, are we going to bring her out? No?" bumbled Cohen as he was forced to stall for another few moments.

"We have champagne ready for her, we have a little fan for her," sighed the Real Housewives executive producer. "She is the only person who could ever get me to switch chairs for a reason that has not even been explained to me," complained Cohen comically.

When Mariah, 46, finally swooshed in she gave no apology. "Sometimes I like this side better and sometimes I like that side better, it depends on the lighting," she explained as she gently touched her hair and flipped her head. As she settled into the interview the Vision of Love star was her usual imperious self, acting exuberantly sarcastic about missing the American Idol finale.

"I was heartbroken, I was in misery, no really, I was at home crying," she scoffed. When asked to say "three nice things" about Nicki Minaj she failed to list even one. "Can you?" she asked Andy while playing Plead The Fifth.

Andy admired Mariah's 35-carat diamong engagement ring and revealed the poll question asked whether her ring was "too big" or "just right". "Anyone who says 'too big' is a hater," the star declared. Mariah and Australian billionaire James Packer in January announced they were engaged.

Talking of her fiancé's wealth, and the possibility of a prenuptial agreement, she said: "Everybody's valuable." While admitting to never driving a car for herself due to an expired license, Mariah said she is capable of getting ready without her glam squad.

The five-time Grammy-winning singer also claimed to cook "all the time" for her five-year-old twins - Moroccan 'Rocky' Scott and Monroe Cannon. "But Rocky doesn't care about food so I have to give him like protein shakes and mix it with a lot of chocolate," she admitted.

Her favorite TV shows she said are Scandal, Empire and the recently concluded Boardwalk Empire. When asked if she might make a cameo on Empire she predicted that director Lee Daniels might not meet her wardrobe standards. "Leave it to Lee and he'll have me in a wig that he took out of the garbage can," she smiled.

And when asked to judge a drag queen contest Mariah picked a lookalike inspired by her Heartbreaker collaboration with Jay-Z. "I love Heartbreaker so much," she cooed. The Las Vegas residency holder said she had "never talked about" a collaboration with Beyonce, which has been rumoured for some time. "I would love to do it though," she said. She also admitted that she's itching to get back in the recording studio.
