A good formula for a good comeback

Seems like the best formula for Mariah Carey (especially when it comes to making a hugh unforgetable comeback) is with a lovely ballad such as Trough The Rain. The over exposed breakdown of last year just got her almost over the line of doomed, but Mariah knew what would be the best for her to step one side of that, turn her head to the different direction (where she used to be for 11 years) and kick all those who tried to destroy her till now days.

TTR seems to work so far, as it's being played over and over (so our heads gets headache out of spins). People love it as they feel close to that same old classic Mariah they have known for years during the past decade. That's what they wanted and that's what they got, and this is what MC wanted and got to get her carreer back on track.

However, she seems to not want to leave that singing style that she's begun using since 1997's Butterfly album, a method that a lot of audience don't really like. Her whispering airy style showcases more than ever on this praticular songs, which makes lots of fans pretty dissapointed, wondering where's that voice of Vision Of Love and Hero gone.

Luckly enough Mariah ends the ballad with an acrobatic belting way of her amazing range and sound trough the last chourse, a sure thing for a Mariah's next hit. Is Mariah lazy or is she tired due to over singing? Is that just the way she wants to sound these days? How did she get that raspy voice on that song? Or why? Is she aware of that many fans don't really like it? Time will tell as the new forthcoming album reaches the store during the end of the year.

Mariah sure got back to her roots, and doing what she knows best, particullary on this ballad. A good formula for a great comeback.
