Mariah braves media glare
Mariah Carey has appeared in public for the first time since her breakdown, at the screening of her debut film, Glitter. Mariah plays an unknown singer who makes it into the big time. Glitter co-stars Mel B's boyfriend, Max Beesley.
American critics have not been overly impressed with Mariah's first film. USA Today called it a "dim bulb of a movie" and the New York Times said it was "an unintentionally hilarious compendium of time-tested cinematic clichés".
Mariah, 31, spent a month being treated for for a physical and emotional breakdown this summer, after working on two films and an album simultaneously, and was reported to have had a second one early this month. (Sky News)
