The Remixes sales figures
Hits Daily Double shows how they built up the album sales chart each week. Mondays and Tuesdays they have updates which cover sales by percentage and post it and update it until reaching 100% of sales counted. This chart is not exact and Billboard positions and numbers could change but it is pretty accurate and let us predict a position for The Remixes in its opening week in the US.
Today updates are actually on 49.61% of total sales. The Remixes appears at #30 with 20,062 copies sold so far. Its position in Billboard album chart, which is revealed Wednesday nights or Thursday mornings, could go from anything between 18 to 33 with around 45,000 copies sold in total.
Considering the promotion that was made for this album and the fact it didn't have a single and October is not a very good month in sales, these numbers are pretty impressive. Now imagine what Mariah could reach with some effective promotion and a good lead single for her upcoming release.
