"It's like that" dances its way to the top
Mariah Carey's comeback single "It's Like That" from her latest album The Emancipation of Mimi is number one on Billboard's Dance Music Club Play chart this week. This is Carey's 10th single to reach number one on that chart.
Her ride on the dance chart began in 1991 when the title track from her second album Emotions spent two weeks on top. Her other number one dance hits include Someday, Dreamlover, Anytime You Need A Friend, Fantasy, Honey, I Still Believe, and Through The Rain.
Carey's new single, the ballad We Belong Together, has marched its way into the number three spot on the Hot 100 chart. Carey is also expected to commence a mall tour of the US in support of her new album. (Jamaica Observer)
