They suit me

Mariah Carey is desperate to get into Westlife's pants. She's hoping her style influence will help them beat G4 in their Christmas chart-topping battle. While Westlife have been away recording, G4 have pinched their suited and booted image. And they also plan to cover Miss You Nights, a Cliff Richard tune that Westlife were ear-marked to release a few years ago. Glam Mariah, who duetted with the Irish boyband on No. 1 hit Against All Odds, wants Westlife to have the edge and invited them to a Versace show at the opening of London Fashion Week.

A source said "Mariah thinks Westlife are handsome guys and loves how they look so sharp in their suits. She suggested they join her at the Versace show and she'd put a word in with the right people about perhaps sorting them out some outfits for their next tour."

Mariah, who performed her new single Shake It Off, out Monday, at ASDA's Tickled Pink concert on Sunday at the Royal Albert Hall, was delighted to see Westlife at the posh bash and made plans for them to meet the designer crowd. She then made a point of signing autographs for fans after missing the pink carpet walk when she was held up filming at Top of the Pops.
