Elizabeth Arden colours Mariah Carey Luscious Pink
Elizabeth Arden has unveiled a new feminine fragrance, called Luscious Pink, from singer
Mariah Carey. It began rolling out in selected doors at the beginning of August.
The debut fragrance from the artist, M by Mariah Carey, was introduced in September last
Luscious Pink aims to give a more intimate look into the singer's world, and features
notes that are feminine, radiant and ethereal, according to the company. "The inspiration
for this fragrance is Mariah's voice and impressive range," explained the perfumers,
Carlos Benaim and Loc Dong, of International Flavors & Fragrances. "We wanted to create
a floral melody that is as enveloping as Mariah's voice."
Luscious Pink opens on sparkling citrus notes, accented with a Bellini Accord, designed
to evoke a day in Capri, Carey's favourite destination. The floral heart features pink
peony, tiare petals and lily of the valley, while woods and musk characterise the base.
The Luscious Pink bottle sports a similar design to that of its predecessor. The colour
scheme blends shades of rose, blue, yellow and white for a rainbow effect, while the cap
takes the form of Carey's signature butterfly. The outer carton is coloured matte pink.
The fragrance is available as a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml edp spray, plus a 200ml body lotion.
The recommended domestic prices are US$39.50, US$52.50, US$62.50, and US$28, respectively.

I can only hope that this is a mistake because if it's a push back again it's going to hurt the album more than it hurts the fans.

The Emancipation of Mimi was epic because of the sound it carried. The nostalgia got hold of people. The album was not only for the new generation, but older people enjoyed it as much. "Mine Again", "Get Your Number", "Your Girl", "Circles", "I Wish You Knew", "Joyride", "Fly Like a Bird" reminded people of what good music was like. Many people in ... read more
