Brandy to star in The O.Z.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, singer Brandy will star in the remake of The Wizard Of Oz. This television project is called The O.Z. and will see Queen Latifah as Glinda The Good Witch, Ginuwine as the Scarecrow, Busta Rhymes as the Cowardly Lion and Little Richard as the Wizard.
Although all these artists have already agreed to this project, nothing has been signed. Randall Kleiser, known from the musical Grease, will direct. Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and his wife Tracy are taking care of the music.
Brandy has already a lot of acting experience. She starred in "Cinderella", "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Double Platinum", and she has her own television serie, "Moesha".
Last year, Billboard Online asked visitors who would be the best choice for Dorothy. Brandy's duet friend Monica garnered 37.9% of the votes, while Mariah Carey got 34.4%. Brandy herself got only 5.8% of the votes. (ENews Online)
