New music: Mariah Carey - I Want To Know What Love Is
Ladies and gentlemen, Mariah Carey is back! After the not-so-warm reception of her "buzz" single, "Obsessed", MiMi got back into the ballad saddle to deliver one hell of a power-ballad in the form of a cover of Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is".
The song, which is now slated as the first single from MC's upcoming Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, due September 29, sounds like something Mariah would have created in the 90's: big, sweeping vocals, gospel choir backing, bust your eardrum high-note. It's classic MC and damn! Is it good to have it back in action. (Neon Limelight)
