Oprah Winfrey premiere week
Oprah Winfrey is going to spread her Whitney Houston interview over two days. The Houston interview will play September 14 and 15 to start Lady O's new season. No topic was off limits, the Oprah folks say. What did Winfrey ask? Why, the questions on everyone's minds, the Oprah folks say. Samples: "When did the drugs start?" "What finally made you decide I'm out of this marriage?" and "Were you afraid that you had lost the voice?"
"The Oprah Winfrey Show" airs at 4 p.m. weekdays on WFTV-Channel 9. The rest of the week: Wednesday, Sept. 16: "Oprah Remembers Michael Jackson" mixes her 1993 interview with the singer and her commentary on his death. Might she be critical of the King of Pop?
Thursday, Sept. 17: Dr. Phil McGraw returns to Winfrey's show for the first time in seven years. Friday, Sept. 18: Mariah Carey, Regis Philbin & Kelly Ripa, Oprah's Book Club announcement. (Orlando Sentinel)
