Mariah's Heartbreaker

There's no doubt about it - Mariah Carey is No. 1! Forget Britney Spears, Mariah Carey has stormed the US charts with her latest single Heartbreaker. Currently No. 1 for the second week on Billboard's Hot 100, the song cements her position as America's biggest-selling female artist of the 90s.

If that isn't enough, Heartbreaker has also seen Mariah smash another music record. Mariah has beaten the Beatles' record as the artist with the most weeks spent at No. 1 position in the Billboard charts - an unbelievable 60 weeks of songs in No. 1!

For those who still haven't caught onto this singing sensation, just consider these other amazing facts: Mariah grabs the title of the US female artist with the most No. 1 singles, beating the likes of Madonna (who's only had 11 top No. 1s!). She's the only artist to have a No. 1 single for every year of the 90s. The last time an artist achieved this feat was in the 1920s. Selling more than 115 million records around the world, Mariah has picked up 84 gold, platinum and multiplatinum awards for single, album and video sales.

Sure to add to her success, Mariah's hot new album Rainbow will hit Australian shops on November 1.
