Don't ask me, I've always liked her cover of DYKWYGT.

I like it too. It's a beautiful little song. I remember how happy I was with this bonus on "The ones" CD back then. It was perfect for the end of the album.

Justice for Gliiter in 2024 (107,245) by Bobby A from United States
This article is the reason why we need justice for Glitter. What can we do? Probably not much until Virgin stops playing hardball with MC because of her huge payout after one album. Virgin won't relinquish full masters rights to MC to allow her to re-release the soundtrack on vinyl as a RSD vinyl or in her own store. I am surprised Virgin allowed her to add the soundtrack to streaming services. Sometimes I think non Lambs don't even know how good the Glitter soundtrack is because of Virgin's hardball tactics. I wish I could have been in that executive conference room when Virgin executives agreed to drop MC and pay her so much to end her contract. Lol.

Do You Know Where You're Going To (107,244) by Lainsky from Philippines
It's an original by Diana Ross and one of my favorite Mariah covers. I remember when I played #1s and it came to this song. Whistling singing towards the end, my housemate was like, "Is that her singing those notes?" Proudly, I said yes. And it became one of my favorite remakes of her. Below are my top 10 lists with some comments.

1. I Still Believe (better than Brenda K)
2. Out Here On My Own (you can feel her emotions, should've been a single)
3. Open Arms (best female version)
4. Without You (could have been No.1)
5. Do You Know Where You're Going To (should've been released)
6. I Want To Know What Love Is (the remake that leaves you wanting for more)
7. Sweetheart (could pass as her original)
8. I Didn't Mean To Turn You On (better than Robert Palmer's)
9. I'll Be There (used to play over and over)
10. Bringin' On The Heartbreak (love her rock-pop-r&b version)

Of course, O Holy Night is up there too. The rest are just... was not working for me.

I actually like "Do you know where you're going to?", it's a decent song. "Crapfinity" and "Save the Day" are annoying to me.

Kenny G (107,239) by Bobby A from United States
Why didn't MC ever do a collaboration with Kenny G. I can't believe one never happened?

Twister (107,238) by Bobby A from United States
I knew my video treatment would be taken the wrong way if I didn't fully go detail about video treatment. Twister was a hair stylist. I was thinking MC would be a hairstylist at a hair salon with all of Twister's co-workers. They are all watching a video that Twister made for them about all of the good times that had as friends. Scenes go back and forth with MC and the ladies watching the Twister's video and MC closing up the hair salon reminiscing and singing about Twister until she covers up Twister's chair with a gold and silver cover for the last time. MC's man knocks on the door to pick her up. She opens the door and an Edward look-a-like fine sexy man stands at the door. He says "Babe, are you ready to leave?" MC closes and locks up the hair salon. The last scene we see is the name of shop bearing Twister's name.

Twister (107,237) by Edward from USA
It would be epic to have someone sing a song about suicide while they're doing your hair. The high notes would be perfect for the moment they pluck out an ingrown hair.

Great post. I think about Twister all of the time. MC's voice is so strong on this gem. The first line is MC at her best with writing thought provoking lyrics. "She was kind of fragile." "And she had a lot to grapple with." I have always imagined MC styling someone hair singing Twister in a video.

This song is so sad but it's beautiful. The story behind it makes me sad every time I hear it.

I love For The Record as well, only Mariah could reference her own catalogue like that. Definitely one of the best songs on the album. 4Real 4Real featuring Da Brat was so much fun and should’ve been on the original release too. Just saying.

Last night I had to think of "Twister". It just came to my mind, I don't know why. I haven't listened to it for a long time. This song is very special. The end of it, still heavenly and classic Mariah.

Bye Bye is currently rising on TikTok. I guess you show a loved one as the music plays. It also sparked a rise on Spotify streams at around 110k per day.

E=MC2 is probably one of MC's best albums to be remixed and reimagined by New York DJ John Morales. He is really good at taking an artist's songs and turning them into something different. Check out his remixed songs by Marvin Gay, Teena Marie, Teddy Pendergrass and this dancefloor jam.

Those songs are good too. E=MC2 really has no skips for me. I'm even starting to like OOC, even though I hated that song in the past.

You know I'm on team Bye Bye so I could care less about a viral Migrate moment. I never knew it. Everyday of my life. I wish. I wish I wish I wish as time goes by. Wait. I have an idea. All great TikTokers that sing can sing that final ad-lib and get cute little kids to come out from behind them and wave bye bye to the camera and sing the backing parts. Now that's a viral moment.

I do wish sometimes that I shared the same enthusiasm for Migrate as some of you on this board do. Cruise Control, I'm That Chick and OOC were true missed opportunities.

Maybe if a high school cheerleading squad or a couple of high school besties created a football jamboree or homecoming dance routine to an instrumental track, then it would go viral. The lyrics are kind of outdated now singing about getting ready to go to the club and being at the club. No one sings or raps about being at club now. Probably one of MC's most missed opportunities for a number one song. It really makes me wonder if L.A. Reid was really running Def Jam in 2008. He just lacked the same enthusiasm for E=MC2 that he had for TEOM.
