I was just trying to point out the "consistency" in the declaration of her "ageless age"? Jejeje.

She also said her marriage to Tommy was great yet she spent her honeymoon propping up a beach bar in tears.

Maybe The Butterfly Lounge was an epic fail.

Mariah also said her boobs augmentation was due to push-up bras. She couldn't keep on denying it when her boobs came out of the closet. At this point in her career/life, 52 or 53 is all the same. Lol.

Mariah's age (101,189) by Xavier mariohmix from Spain
This was recorded on May 19, 1994 and she said she was 24.

Atlanta home (101,188) by Robert-Anthony from United States
It looks like MC is making plans to be a full-time New Yorker again. Maybe she is in the beginning stages of recording MC16.

Re: Blood Orange (101,186) (101,187) by Edward from USA
I've seen Mariah at the Beacon Theater 3 times, but since they kind of discovered she could do a venue 20 bigger than that, I don't think we'll see her at the Beacon Theater doing the Christmas show ever again. Mariah is big on Christmas hence her Christmas shows do so well. I think she'll try to capitalize on them as much as she can.

Blood Orange (101,186) by Mara from United States
So I took my daughter and some friends to see Harry Styles at Madison Square Garden last night and to my surprise, Blood Orange was the opening act. They were amazing and it was a great treat to see Dev do his thing live on the big stage. My daughter became a fan last night and is downloading music as we speak. The last time I was at MSG was pre Covid for the 25th Anniversary show for AIWFCIY and Dev Hynes was sitting 6 seats away from me in the center floor section with Tessa Thompson. It just made me miss seeing Mariah live and especially seeing her in New York at Christmas. It's too bad she wouldn't consider doing a night or two at The Beacon again in December. Those shows were so nice and there was something so magical about them, esp the pre Nightmare era ones. The first two years at the Beacon were the best. If Mariah ever were to go back on live stages, I think that would be a nice step for her as they are more intimate and a smaller scale and in NY. Going from seeing MC to Harry Styles is a complete different experience and just made me miss being in a sea surrounded by MC fans/lambs over the sea of boas and tube tops and bell bottoms and teenage girls. He was great, don't get me wrong. Great show and lots of energy. I just miss knowing I'm going to see MC. I do understand she has done it for many years and deserves the time off too. Maybe if she misses it, she will return.

Re: I wish for Butterfly: unplugged for Butterfly 25 (101,178) (101,185) by JC from USA
The Roof is my fav Mariah song. I loved [Brandy] on the track but vocally they sound similar it's hard to even distinguish them at times. But, nonetheless, beautiful voices on a stunning track. And personally endearing to Mariah herself.

The Clark Sisters (101,184) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I just remembered that Dornda Clark Cole said on Facebook that The Clark Sisters did something with MC. Hopefully it was used on whatever is coming this week.

Randy, it is going to be interesting as to what MC is going to announce this week.

Re: I wish for Butterfly: unplugged for Butterfly 25 (101,179) (101,182) by Bill from the UK
The fact Caution was so well received should have made Mariah realise people don't always need to vocal acrobatics with her, especially as she can no longer replicate them live. I was listening to some old Julie London tracks (a jazz singer from years back), and her slow, smooth, sultry delivery would suit Mariah's current voice perfectly. An album sung like that would be a great addition to her catalogue. Rather than the same old tired formulaic R&B she's been doing since Bfly.

I would be pissed (101,180) by Randy from USA
Yo. What if she released Butterfly?
1. Honey Bad Boy or JD remix
2. Butterfly
3. My All/Stay Awhile remix
4. The Roof Mobb Deep remix
5. Fourth of July
6. Breakdown Bone Thugz remix
7. Babydoll
8. Close My Eyes
9. Whenever You Call with Brian McNight
10. Butterfly (Fly Away)
11. The Beautiful Ones
12. Outside
13. The Roof with Brandy (bonus)
14. Close My Eyes (new version, bonus)
Sounds like something MC would do right about now to avoid promotion and singing.

Re: I wish for Butterfly: unplugged for Butterfly 25 (101,178) (101,179) by Norman from USA
I agree. I keep thinking that maybe she's not inspired enough these days, you know? And it's not about her having to constantly churn out music, but more as in trying to evolve more in her craft. Caution didn't blow anyone away with the vocals, and it wasn't meant to, but I think she gave us some rich textures and musicality on tracks like 8th Grade and GML.

The Roof ft Brandy was actually decent.

Not every song Bill. I think The Roof (When I feel the need) with Brandy was inspired. Surprisingly so.

Re: I wish for Butterfly: unplugged for Butterfly 25 (101,173) (101,176) by Edward from USA
I agree with you 100%. When she re-recorded Hero, it was a let-down for me. That's why I'm kind of against of her re-recording any of her classics. I've always said, if you can't at least deliver the same quality or improve on it, do not touch it. "I Wanna Know What Love Is" was her last decent cover. Her "One More Try" cover was a sacrilege. I didn't like her re-recording of "Close My Eyes" either.

Agreed. I appreciate Mariah making the effort, but the re-recording of "Close My Eyes" for "The Rarities" was not that great. If that rumored track listing for a "Butterfly" re-release is real, I would be very happy.

Re: Toni Braxton (101,148) (101,174) by BFF from United States
I love Toni's later albums as well. She's definitely maintained a commitment to classy adult-oriented R&B. I really thought the "Pulse" album was slept on - "If I Have to Wait" and "Why Don't You Love Me" are really great ballads. Ditto for songs like "Please" and "I Wanna be Your Baby" on "Libra". "The Heat" also has some fun album and lesser known songs that didn't get the attention they deserve - that "Spanish Guitar" (H2Q Club Mix) is one of my favorites to have on when I'm running.

Re: I wish for Butterfly: unplugged for Butterfly 25 (101,171) (101,173) by Bill from the UK
Hmmm. I'd rather have demos and unreleased material from 1997 over re-recorded stuff. Every song she has re-recorded has been inferior to the original.

I wish for Butterfly: unplugged for Butterfly 25 (101,171) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Mariah said on her twitter that one more week before the anniversary of Butterfly. So I wish Mariah would post an unplugged performance from her house or studio or wherever for all the songs from the album.

Re: Butterfly 25 (101,168) (101,170) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I think that she is going to drop it digitally first and then the following week the physical release will drop or be available to pre-order. For sure, we will know when it shows up on Target's website. That seems to be the trend lately.
