Tom Breihman (100,109) by Littal from USA
I'm compelled to read these. I certainly feel like [I'm] learning context I wasn't aware of. I just don't know how to take the use of his individual grieving of his father's passing. Somehow the judgment of [One Sweet Day] and [Hero] tied into them not being helpful in his mourning.

That award show is on its way out, something I predicted a while back, this year was a conscious effort to [boycott] it as you already indicated, there were not seasoned artists in attendance. The "Mariah Carey" award is gonna replace the "Grannies". Lol. [Because] lets face it, Mariah Carey is (all caps) the music industry. She's that [girl].

Streaming party (100,107) by Lady B from USA
Shall we lead a streaming party this weekend for BBE remix? What should the hashtag be? Let's get this to #1!

Article: Mariah Carey praises Dua Lip and Megan Thee Stallion (100,106) by Travis from USA
It's nice to see current artists pay tribute to Mariah because I still don't think that she gets the recognition that she deserves, I mean, more now than ever before, but I feel that someone with 19 #1s and all kinds of other accolades/set records, she's just not as respected as you would think for this point in her career.

Migrate (100,105) by Todd from Sydney, Australia
Guys, I just heard a song called Migrate. Should have been a single.

Wow (100,104) by Ricardo from New Zealand
I saw the remix dropped, then surged back up iTunes to #4. Something is happening here.

Re: The dress bit (100,087) (100,103) by Geronimo from USA
You're totally right about a desert full of newbies at the Grammy awards. At the same time, though, I thought it was a combination of clever and cute that two artists I know nothing about and care even less about found Mariah and Whitney's super corny skit interesting enough to emulate. Back in the day I thought that was a pointless demonstration of Mariah Carey's lack of acting shops in addition to a rare lapse in comedic insight on her part. I find it interesting, though, that something I believed was best forgotten actually represents a "cultural moment" to commercial machine artists today.

Re: #3 (100,101) (100,102) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Yes, but she didn't even get at #1 back then, not until AIWFCIY went to #1 a few years ago.

I was too young in '94, and really can't remember listening to Mariah, started noticing her when she released Butterfly.

But fully enjoyed the Emancipation era, even though also then, her success in Norway was limited.

She had her era back in 94.

Re: Grammys revelation (100,084) (100,100) by Nikki from usa
I can't say Mariah didn't warn us. She said the Grammy's were boring and hasn't attended since she was forced to accept her Grammy wins backstage after the show.

Re: #3 (100,095) (100,099) by jaker20 from US
Yes, Mariah could get credited next week, because the remix is new. Also, the remix is more radio friendly. The original has a lot of explicit lyrics even though a clean version exists, people know mostly the explicit version. So hopefully that helps the remix.

Re: Faded (100,092) (100,098) by RJJ12 from USA
One of the gems from that era. It would have done well on radio.

Latto in Norway (100,097) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I just wrote in the previous message that Mariah never gets played in Norway, but I at lest just heard Latto's "Big Energy" get used in this celebrity cocking reality show that;s on a Norwegian channel right now. Maybe people will get interested in the remix too if they liked it.

Re: #3 (100,095) (100,096) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Oh, good to know. Then I can't wait for next week's chart. I haven't heard it on the radio here, but people in Norway have never been particularly fond of Mariah. Listened to it a lot myself, it's so fresh.

Re: #3 (100,094) (100,095) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Next week numbers may yield a different result. The rule says that a remix must perform better than the original in order to chart. Pop radio stations added it to their playlists this week. It is so good to hear MC on the radio with a new song.

Re: #3 (100,082) (100,094) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
So sad to not see Mariah's name at #3 on Billboard Hot 100, no statistics for Mariah. At least, we the fans, know that this chart position is thanks to Mariah, and that is somewhat a relief.

Yes, a whole masterpiece. It's been so long since I listened to this mix. Stone groove.

Faded (100,092) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I'm listening to Faded now. I was really rooting for MC and Nick. It is a shame that their marriage didn't make it longer than 8 years.

Tanaka (100,091) by Giovanni from USA
I wonder if Mariah and Tanaka will get married. I like him a lot. He seems like he really cares for Mariah and is not after her money. They both seem really happy and I'm happy for them.

Caution album (100,090) by Giovanni from USA
I'm still enjoying the "Caution" album. It's definitely her best album since "The Emancipation Of Mimi". I don't care about the Grammy's. Mariah was robbed for album of the year in 2006. She should really have more than 5 Grammy's but it is what it is.

Re: Question (100,088) (100,089) by Giovanni from USA
I definitely agree, Mariah would have definitely killed "Girlfriend". She could have covered it perfectly for her debut album.

Re: Question (99,911) (100,088) by Nicky from Jasmine's Sofa
Another one to add to the list of occurrences B.C. (Before Carey) is Backyard by Pebbles feat. Salt N Pepa. I was a kid when this song came out, but I used to blast it all the time. It sounds like a Pop/R&B song in the same lane as Vanessa William's, but with the spice and hip hop moment of S&P.

I would love for Mariah to cover a Pebbles song. "Girlfriend" should have been on the Glitter soundtrack. "Love Makes Things Happen" is such a beautiful song, an updated duet with Maxwell would be amazing. Also, "Love's Taken Over" by Chanté Moore?

The dress bit (100,087) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I've got to say, recreating the MTV Whitney/Mariah moment with Dua Lipa and M.T.S was pretty lame last night at the Grammy's. Either artists is even close to Mariah or Whitney's stature; and given that there was hardly any seasoned artists in attendance (it seemed like it was a newbie's night), most of the young artists probably didn't get the reference to that iconic moment in 1998.

The lack of seasoned career artists in attendance really goes to show how little people in the industry really think of the Grammy's. When Bieber is one of the most season artists in attendance, the Academy should reflect on itself. (Bonnie Raitt and Joni Mitchel were the only other reasoned artists I noticed in attendance.)

Anyone else loving this remix? So moody, mysterious and cool.
