About Tarraga from New York City:

The shady couple (Ed. and St.) (46,935) by Tarraga from New York City
KeShawn Taylor, I'm here to support you and those of you who write long lists. The N.Y. guy (Ed.) and his U.K. boyfriend (St.) are truly [censored]. They think they are funny but they are not. I rarely post here because of them. They think they are superior to others. I call them the Messer-Know-It-All, but they don't know anything. I always skip their posts but when they make fun of others I have to speak up and defend my fellow lambs. Who are them to tell us what to write? Who do they think they are? I'm tired of them and their attitude. As long as we follow our Webmaster's rules, we are free to write what we want and as many lists as we want. There are no rules against lists. I emailed the N.Y. guy a while back and he was very arrogant. I was just trying to make lamb friends in N.Y. but hey, I'm glad he showed his true colors. So yeah, if they don't like long lists they shouldn't read them. The N.Y. guy wrote the longest list a few days ago. So, he can do it but the rest can't? Right. I don't understand why they have to be so rude. I'm tired of [censored]. I really loved this board when everybody was nice with other lambs. What happened?

Mike RC and Webmaster (45,983) by Tarraga from New York City
Dear Webmaster, thanks so much for the info about the vinyls, it really helped. Mike RC, thanks to you too for the info. I just checked Amazon and found them. Still waiting for Gilles to contact me and let me know about the French website to have MCIIY and MIAMCTEC in vinyls. Mike, I'm originally from Spain too but I have been living in NYC since 2006. Feel free to contact me via email and maybe we can meet next time I go to Spain (on Christmas). I don't know any lamb there or here so it would be cool to stay in touch. Thanks.

Gilles, Malta (45,970) by Tarraga from New York City
Hello my fellow European friend. I happened to be a vinyl collector too. I have a huge library room at home here in NYC with a grand Steinway piano, a victrola from the beginning of the 1900's, a gramophone from the 1940's and lots of other instruments. I'm an opera singer so that room is my altar. Lol. One of the walls is just dedicated to vinyls and, of course, one entire row is "dedicated" to Mariah Carey. I, like you, have almost every vinyl from Mariah, singles included but I couldn't find any from E=MC2 to now. So, as soon as I read your message I decided to contact you. I really would like to know the name and contact info of that French company. I can't wait to get the vinyls for E=MC2, Memoirs, MCIIY and MIAMTEC, plus all the singles from all of them (which I own too). Lol. I agree with you that the sound is incredibly much better than the mp3. Can you please send me an email to dlptarraga@yahoo.com? I would really appreciate it. And it would be cool to have a lamb friend from Malta. Hehehe. Thanks.

Whisper-like albums? Really? (45,367) by Tarraga from New York City
Really? I don't post very often here but this is just plain silly. I strongly and respectfully disagree with the person who said that "God only knows how many Charmbracelet-whisper-like albums she would've had by now" after Butterfly. Really? Charmbracelet is as good and balanced as MIAMTEC and Mariah doesn't whisper all the time. What's the thing against whispering? Does anybody know how tremendously difficult that technique is and how huge is the amount of energy one needs to sing it properly like Mariah does? There are strong vocals on that album too. In my opinion, Charmbracelet is one of her best albums ever. She not only uses a vast variety of colors but also different "vocal styles and techniques". Mariah has never done an unbalanced album. Fan since 1990.

Help with Japanese edition (45,069) by Tarraga from New York City
Hi all. I need some help. I would like to purchase the Japanese edition of MIAMTEC, the one that comes with the libretto but I have no idea where to find it. I read that some of you purchased it. For those of you who have it, would you be so kind to send me the link where you got it from? I have all the editions (standard and deluxe both clean and explicit and the Target one). I would like to add the Japanese edition to my collection. My email is dlptarraga@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance.

No Marcel, no (44,236) by Tarraga from New York City
You can't say that the majority of people that love the "late" Mariah became fans after Charmbracelet. That is not true at all. If you read my previous message on here you would know that I have been a fan since 1990 and I absolutely love the "new" standard Mariah as you call it. I know lots of people that became fans with Rainbow or TEOM that then would discover the "old" Mariah and were not thrilled, or people that became fans in the 90's but prefer the "new" Mariah, so what? You can't judge people with such unsupported thesis. That's ridiculous. I respect everyone's opinion but when someone tells such nonsense I get irritated. Stop the negativity. Thanks.

What's with all this negativity? Andrew Crisostomo (44,230) by Tarraga from New York City
I have been a fan of Mariah since 1990. I'm 33 years old now and, like Mariah, I have evolved. I don't know if I am a die hard fan, a regular fan or a lamb, but what I know for sure is that I love this woman so much for what she did in the past and still does in the present. Her voice, no matter what the state of it, still is the most beautiful voice in the world, and it shines in every genre she does. If Mariah had kept doing the same big old ballads or big old pop songs people would still complain and accuse her of not evolving. Then, Mariah's voice and music evolve: what do you want from her? She still makes great music and I am positive that she can belt like back in the 90's but she doesn't want to do that anymore nor collaborating with Walter. Why can't some people accept that? Leave the woman alone and if you don't like anything that she does anymore, stop spreading negativity because fans like me, that have been loving the woman since 1990 don't really like negativity. Andrew, I agree with you about Dedicated. It became my favorite song of the album. It is so incredibly amazing, timeless and so 90's. It's on repeat all day long. Lol.

The best of the best / Anthony Basco (44,182) by Tarraga from New York City
1. Dedicated is everything. This song is, by far, the best song Mariah has ever done. It's one of those songs that you would play while cuddling with your hubby on the sofa or at the beach on a summer night. Timeless. So 90's.
2. Money: This song is f**** hot tamale. Perfect song to listen to while on vacation with your papi/mami (Capri, Ibiza, Santorini, you name it), or with friends on a shopping day.
3. Meteorite: In the good old days of Christopher Street's gay clubs this would make Madonna fans turn into lambs. Lol. Drags will definitely make it a gay club hymn. Yay.
4. YDKWTD: I picture myself on a club with friends dancing like crazy. Another gem.
5. Camouflage: This song is everything times 2. Raw emotions. Mariah's most personal song on the album and definitely my favorite.
6. MILG: Perfect to listen to during those long summer promenades while grabbing hands with your lover.
Anthony, thanks for the reply. It seems that we have a very similar taste. I am glad that other fans feel the same way I feel about Mariah's music.

Anthony Basco / Elena / Alexis / Bill / B (44,132) by Tarraga from New York City
Anthony, Elena and B, I absolutely love E=MC2 too. I don't think that it is filler/light album like some people has said here but I respect everyone's opinion. Actually Anthony we have a very similar top 5. Mine stands as:
1. Charmbracelet
2. Me, I am Mariah
3. Emotions
4. Butterfly
5. E=MC2.
I, like you, was blown away by MIAMTEC. Every single song is a masterpiece. I also cried after I listened to Cry. Best opening ever for an album. I also believe that TAOLG is one of the best songs Mariah has ever done. I feel a very special/personal connection whenever I listen to it. Alexis, I also think that Cry could be about her miscarriage. Bill, the same happened to me with Triumphant. I actually love it now. I have added to my MIAMTEC album Triumphant and Almost Home and the album couldn't be more perfect.

Masterpiece album / One More Try (43,965) by Tarraga from New York City
MIAM is one of the best albums Mariah has ever done. It is absolutely a masterpiece. I don't understand all the negative comments about One More Try. I really never liked George Michael's version. He has better songs than that. Mariah did an amazing job with this cover. I don't really understand some people criticizing her "head-nasal high pitched" sound. She is using different vocal techniques and head-nasal doesn't mean bad. Coming from a Bel Canto Tenor myself, I rather hear her singing that way than using the back of her throat to make an opaque-dark-non-colored sound or yelling. Technically speaking she is astonishing. I have known Mariah since VOL and there is no album or song I don't like. I love her versatility, range, colors and the different voices that she uses. Just amazing. Nobody can do that. She is a genius. Every song on this album is heaven.

Deluxe edition cover, Edward (43,193) by Tarraga from New York City
I love love love the deluxe edition cover. It has a sense of mystery about it. I am not bothered at all by Mariah's face not being centered as someone wrote in a previous message. I am not bothered either by the airbrushing. Mariah is beautiful no matter what. She is incredibly gorgeous in person. Edward, I am with you about possible new b-sides for the international releases. I agree with you that she has more surprises up her sleeves. I really hope that "Hope Street" and "Save The Day" are on them. The album title is great. I already pre-ordered both editions on iTunes and I will buy the physical copies on May 27th. We gotta take the Elusive Chanteuse (with a French accent, lol) back to #1.

Christopher NY, NY (40,732) by Tarraga from New York City
Hi Christopher. I live in NYC too and I have been a member of this board for a while. I don't know any Mariah fan in NYC. I would like to do what our fellow UK lambs are trying to do, a get together to enjoy Mariah's music. I am always afraid of talking about my idol with other people because they get really nasty when I talk about her. NYC lambs, let's get together. Here is my email, dlptarraga@yahoo.com.

To Edward (38,651) by Tarraga from New York City
Hi Edward. It seems that you have been in many of Mariah's concerts and video shoots in NYC. I was wondering if you live in New York. I do. I live in Manhattan. I have been here for 5 years but I have never met any lambs. It would be nice to meet some and go to these events together. If there are other MC lambs in NYC don't hesitate to contact me. I will gladly share my email with you guys.

Newbie in NYC via Barcelona (38,126) by Tarraga from New York City
Hi lambs. I have been checking this website since 2001, but I never had enough time to join this amazing messageboard. I have been living in Manhattan, NYC since 2006, but I'm originally from Barcelona, Spain. I'm an opera singer, a Bel Canto Tenor. I'm 32 years old. I have been extremely busy since I arrived in the USA, but I am finally free, on vacation until September (yay). I have never met a lamb in person other than my sister Julia. I have seen Mariah many times in NYC, but I never had a chance to go to any of her concerts. I would love to meet the NYC lambily, hang out, become friends, etc. Now that Mariah has confirmed her world tour, I'm definitely going to her concert in NYC. But I don't want to go alone, so it would be great if I had a group of lambfriends to share that experience. I have read a lot of negative post since Triumphant came out and that really made me sad. We are all here for one reason, our queen, so we should respect everybody's opinions. I have been a lamb since Vision Of Love and I must say that I love love love every single album that Mariah has done. The variety of styles and music is amazing. I love the Mariah of the 90's, of course, but if she hadn't evolved, people would have gotten tired and bored. Mariah's or no one else's voice can stay the same forever. That's impossible. Everybody seems to forget that Mariah has nodes in her vocal folds and she doesn't what to do surgery, because she is afraid of losing her voice (see Julie Andrews). I think that we all should be grateful to still have her around and make such amazing music. I love Triumphant, I love Almost Home and I love #Beautiful. She doesn't need to belt every time she sings. I didn't like Triumphant that much when I first heard it, but now I am loving it. It is an amazing single. I am still waiting for a Jazz/Blues/Soul album. Her voice with a piano or a very small ensemble would sound great. My favorite album is Charmbracelet and my favorite song is Vanishing. My favorite ballad is So Blessed. I love love love Glitter and E=MC2. I love this messageboard.
