I agree with Nathan. Having a "vocal rest" is not enough, you need to exercise your voice to keep it in a good shape, especially when you used it for so many years doing concerts, interviews, etc. I don't know if MC does that, I don't live in her house but it looks like she doesn't. I heard that Usher lost his voice at some point in his life, and he had to take some singing lessons to bringing it back. It's obvious that MC have lost some octaves and it must to be really frustating for her, but I hope that she can take concern, let her ego go and take some singing lesson to recover her power especially with the Las Vegas project, all the media will put their eyes in the first show. And they're not going to be nice if they find something bad in it.

Judge all that you want (49,675) by Anonymous from
In bad times you know who is your friend. Everybody is judging Mariah but we don't know what she's going through, what's behind of a bad or bizarre performance. She was acting out of herself that night at some moments, that was clear. Yes, we want to see our idols always on the top, shining and in the last year MC has been in the eye of the storm for so many reasons, around of negative news and reviews. People in the social media is really bad and making fun of her with their comments. It's easy to say "retirement is the answer" (poor boy who said that). When you are down, proove to yourself that all the world is wrong and you still have a lot to give for. I think that Mariah needs to find some kind of peace with herself. She needs some kind of help and guidance. She should take some time for herself and then to work in her career with the right people. I don't give up. I don't see in Mariah just the singer that I admire or "the high notes singer", I find in her something else that makes stand at her side in this bad time, no matter what. And to Andrew, who was asking for Shelly, Edward, "true fans" or whatever, here I am, me Carlos (lol). I'm not blind to the reality but I'm not like all that people in the social media, [...] with her songs, she was there in my bad times, in my love times with her music. If you´re ready to leave then you still don't the beautiful and true connection between music and a soul.

Duets album (49,300) by Anonymous from
I like the idea of a duets album or maybe like Rod Stewart's Great American Songbook. I want to hear MC singing classic songs like "Moonriver what a wonderful world" etc.

MC going to Vegas (49,047) by Anonymous from
MC is doing the right thing in my opinion. Singers live of their album sales, concerts, etc. Nowadays album sales are patetic even for new artists. so that's why a lot, not only MC, have to find new ways of making money and keep their careers alive. It's harder for singers like Mariah, with so many years in the industry, to keep them in the spotlight. Radio stations don't want to play your music even when it is good just because they want new faces, new styles. So they are not going to promote your albums, singles, etc in the way they did before, because this is how the music industry goes. So with the low sales and lot of bad press in the last year, MC is finding a new way to survive in this wild industry. I always heard that singers with dead careers go to Vegas but I don't see it in that way. It's just the new situation in this business that make singers to find a "safe and quite" place where development.

Feliz Navidad (48,788) by Anonymous from
Just here to say Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad to everybody in our Lambily. It's been a difficult year but with faith the upcoming year will be so much better. Early I sent a tweet to MC saying Merry Christmas too. I hope she can read it.

My opinion (48,407) by Anonymous from
Ok so I have read a lot of comments on Twitter, YouTube, etc, etc. Really. People make the biggest drama just because MC couldn't reach some high notes in that cold winter night at Rockefeller (and I think NBC made that reveange). I wonder why when nowadays singers couldn't reach or lipsynch their own notes, anybody says nothing but when it comes about Mariah, everybody claims for perfection. She hasn't lost her voice, it's just that her voice has turned fragile that she can't sing easily like she did back in the 90's. In fact even in the 90's there were some times that she couldn't reach some high notes too, but YouTube wasn't part of our lives. I remember that she said that sometimes "she couldn't reach even one octave". Her voice is complex and she's been under so much stress this year (I have to say that this year has to be one of her worst in personal life, business). But you know what really upset me is that people don't recognize anything of what she gets in her life, all her records and influence in most of female singers means nothing to people and that's sad. In my heart I will always support her and understand that she is a human being that have good and bad days like me or you and I'm not talking as a lamb but a human being.

I was trying to express the same but my English is not that good as yours lol. So thank you. You have said what I think. She's taking the wrong way but no matter what I'm here for here even when sometimes I just wanna say f**k you MC. Hehe but just for a little moment. She's flying too high from the ground.

From number 3 to number 16 (44,599) by Anonymous from
I feel so sorry for Mariah, she made a really good album but she hired the wrong person as her manager and now we all see the results. It's funny that she's promoting that Butterfly bottle instead of her album. Whatever, it's her problem. Sometimes we need lessons to learn.

Me. I am... the best Mariah album in the last 10 years (44,086) by Anonymous from
Yep, I think that this album is really good, I love almost all the songs. There are songs that make me feel in love and some that make me dance and have a good time. Soft sounds (Cry, You're mine), soft voice, crazy beats (like Thirsty), high and powerful notes (Like Heaven). It's a really good mix of sounds. I like the samples that she's using in this album. I really like the passion in her voice in One More Try. But like everything, nothing's perfect the bad or not too good things are that I feel too much computer re touches to her voice in some songs and of course I still don't like the album title. My favs: Dedicated (what a musical journey), Beautiful (oh how it thrill me), Make it look good (so relaxing), You don't know what to do (next single please), Meteorite (not the typical Mariah song and I love it), Money (I'm in love with the hook, very catchy).

Don't be patetic (43,783) by Anonymous from
When Mariah does something good I praise her and talk about it, when she does something bad (in my opnion) I will talk about it too. But really, some people are patetic. I read some comments on her Today performance and I need a rest, some of you claim for perfection. Mariah doesn't need to hit every single note in a perfect range or how she used to do it in her early years before so much concerts, albums, interviews, etc etc. She is not a machine. I think she did a really good job, she sounded out of key in some parts in "Always be my baby" but in general was good. And why if she sang along a playback in some parts of her new song. Everybody does that. I'm sure that if she sounded perfect in every song, every note then some of you would say: it's lipsynching. Really those kind of comments stress me.

Mariah, the Today performance (43,782) by Anonymous from
I watched the performance on the Today show and it made me feel happy. She was really good, having a good time. I liked the 3 songs. I have to say that "You don´t know what to do" is a really good song, very fresh and catchy. I wonder why that song wasn't the last single instead "You're mine lol" whatever. The only thing that I didn't like is that Mariah still doesn't know how to move along all the stage. I hate when she stands in only one place but in general I enjoyed the show.

Re: Rainbow era (43,450) by Anonymous from
Yep, she looked so fresh and like a normal, sexy girl. I fell in love with her at that era. Her face and smile was sexy and sweet at the same time. I miss that expression. Her cheeks. I love her voice tone in that album too and you can see her so happy with Luis Miguel, her boyfriend at that time. I l think that she still can't forget him and all the songs talking about some lover of the past is about him. They made a good couple but so bad he's a latin playboy hehe whatever. The Rainbow era was a cool era. Colourful as its name.

Why? (43,420) by Anonymous from
To say that Mariah's face (in the interview with David Letterman) looks rare like [censored] isn't a mean thing. That's what a lot of people think and that she needs to [censored] (and I did it with sense of humor and added funy icons). We all know that she gains and looses weight frequenly and it's ok because she looks like a normal person, but her face surprised me. Now, it's a mean thing that the webmaster judge my comment saying he never read that kind of mean messages from a fan and not publishing all what I expressed. Some of you take it so seriously and in a sensitive way a comment that is not about praising Mariah. I was honest and if I think that I would say even if I get censored again with this message.

I watched a little part of the interview with David Letterman and man... [Webmaster: The rest of this message is censored. Wow, I've never seen a fan write so mean about Mariah. I had to censor about 90% of this message.]

I'm excited too even when I'm sure that the song will keep the original Mariah vocals and only add some Mary's. BTW is that you, the guy in your pic? Hehe you're hot.

My opinion (43,295) by Anonymous from
1. I don't like the new album's tittle. It's a boring trend and it's ridiculous. You have this is who I am, I am, the way I am, the real me, etc etc. In the last decade Mariah disappoints me with her creativity about album's tittles. 2. Adding 2 songs/remixes from your last album is like saying I don't have good songs enough for this album so I'm going to bring back those songs I recorded. I mean she's been working like 4 years in this album and she's doing that? That speaks a lot. 3. She needs to stop hiring close friends as a work team. Hire professionals who guides you to do the things right or in a better way, not saying yes to everything you want. 4. I'm sure that the new album will have good songs but the problem is that she overshadows her music with her image, so better sing and stop talking like a diva, dahling.

Don't get it (43,149) by Anonymous from
I don't get the fact that she worked like 4 years on this album and she is including 2 songs/remixes from Memoirs. Where's the duet with Stevie Wonder? Ughhh.

Any news about the album? (42,525) by Anonymous from
I'm really worried about the upcoming album, it suppossed that it will be in stores about May 6th and it's less than a month and we have nothing in concret about it, not even a title. What kind of promotion is this? I'm really upset and dissapointed about this situation, and some press notes express this feeling too. I wonder what is Jermaine Dupri, as a manager, doing for this album, where's Cindi Berger, her publicist? Where's Mariah, where's the big team behind that mega star called Mariah Carey?

Album title (42,496) by Anonymous from
Remember, back in 2002, when she was working on her Charmbracelet album, some reports talked about "The Other Side" as a possible name for that album and I really liked it as a title. That title gives you some kind of mistery on what to expect about it. I hope that she comes with a good and consistent title.I heard about Mermaid In Disguise (please no). After so many years of waiting and pushing back the date release, a good tittle would help a lot for its promotion. Maybe "Patience Lambily" or "Be Patience or die trying" lol. I'm kidding.

Message from MC experience (42,488) by Anonymous from
Hey, just to wonder if someone of you have recieved a message from Mariah, via Twitter or Facebook. I did, back in 2007, via Twitter. I tweeted about how good her remixes with David Morales are and that they needed to get back in the studio again, so she sent me a private message to my twitter saying that yes, she really loves working with him but it was matter of time. I was like wow Mariah sent me a message to me. Well that was the only time lol but it was a really good feeling. Share your experiences.
