About Lara from Middle East: I discovered Mariah with "always be my baby"...Got hooked by "my all"..didnt know it was the same artist back then..I couldn't (yet) understand what she was singing! Since then, I've been a big fan and rediscovered her catalogue and appreciate her even more...Searching for her lyrics was my way to learn english :)

I'm not concerned with Mariah's voice (99,424) by Lara from Middle East
Most people will go and say she lost her voice, she's hiding it between smoke and mirrors. I might agree with that, her voice isn't as powerful as before, but for me it's her tone and huskiness, the fact that when you hear it on the radio you can immediately reconignize it that makes special and I couldn't care less about whistles and belting.

Stromae released new songs after a hiatus of 7 years and that man has no voice but his songs, their lyrics, productions are just genius. It's like Mariah Carey before 2008 but without her voice, which brings me to my concern.

What I am concerned about is her musicality, her layering and ad libs are messy, lyrics not relatable anymore. You can't have a melody from her songs. I want Mariah to have a work similar to Caution where you feel the production is really good but lyrically more deep. Videos that are not focusing on her physical appearance, maybe the bipolar medications are affecting this genius side of hers?

Britney Spears (98,269) by Lara from Middle East
I think Mariah was this close to be locked in a similar conservatorship in 2000,, probably by her brother Morgan.

All of his/her mashups are really good. (S)He really has good editing skills and a good ear.

With all these remixes, someone should start a fitness YouTube channel.

Re: How is everybody? (95,018) (95,024) by Lara from Middle East
I really can't answer this. We're alive. That's all we can say. The blast in our city have done considerable damage we re only starting to understand. Causalities count still not finished, not to mention the inflation. The number of people who lost their jobs the last 4 months and worse no sign of any positive change. Corona seems to be the last of our problems but the last 3 days scored as many cases as we had since it all started, so curfew is back for 2 weeks now. But we're surviving.

She was probably in a manic episode when she "connected" to him.

Love comments like these, I really appreciate when she drops off the diva attitude.

Merry Christmas new video (91,317) by Lara from Middle East
Looking at the footage makes me appreciate her darker hair even more. It's nice to see her mother in the video and she looked genuinely happy in the shots.

GMA appearance and a cover for Love magazine. Could it be for her memoirs?

Collaborations (90,119) by Lara from Middle East
I wished she was featured on Ed Sheeran collaboration album, he had Skillrex on it. It would have been a nice way to fresh up her fanbase.

Forgetting the new album? Caution, Portrait. Does GTFO count as one word?

We also got bored of saying Migrate should have been a single.

Her thing is different (89,538) by Lara from Middle East
Madonna has been known for being provocative with a sexy attitude, her thing in this era of oversexualized media doesn't work anymore. As for Mariah, she has been known for her voice and talent and even with her diminished ability, she's still a contender, most of the back lash she receives when she dresses sexy is probably not because it's not age appropriate, but because she doesn't need it to shine.

2019 BBMA (89,108) by Lara from Middle East
Could be her last chance to revive "A No No" with a good performance. Do you think she'll bring both Shawni and Stefflon Don to perform with her?

Metro (subway) A No No video (88,745) by Lara from Middle East
This would have been a nicer concept and not an expensive one I guess. There is so much potential in the album and songs it just bumps me with every new wasted step they take.

Re: Stefflon Don (88,599) (88,613) by Lara from Middle East
Heard it once and didn't like it. I definitely would have preferred having Cardi B on it for radio airplay and streaming, but what bothered me is it's a bad copy/paste edit.

A No No (88,457) by Lara from Middle East
Maybe helping it go viral would help, although GTFO had that potential and it didn't help. People could try to make a choreography on the subway with this song. Or mommy sites could use the song for parodies. Could help with views until the remix is released.

Migrate (88,056) by Lara from Middle East
If one of the new trendy singers covers it, it could easily reach #1.

Re: Caution track (88,022) (88,025) by Lara from Middle East
Although Giving Me Life and A No No and 8th Grade are my favorites from the album, I find myself humming Caution. That might be a sign it's a catchy tune. Can anybody hear the similarity with 7 Rings from Ariana Grande when the track starts?

Re: Mariah in the Middle East (88,020) (88,024) by Lara from Middle East
She has her fans but definitely not hugely popular. I barely catch her on the radio unless it's the 90s ballads ("Without you my all" mainly). The freshest I've heard from her was #Beautiful and that was 2 years ago. Even during Christmas they don't play AIFWCIY that much. Nevertheless, her concert in 2003 from the Charmbracelet tour 73 was fully booked. I believe she has fans but they just don't show it off.
