Mariah Carey enraptures fans in Taipei
  American pop legend Mariah Carey delighted fans in Taipei at a concert in which the  diva reeled out hits including "Fantasy" and "Emotions" to rapturous applause. Clad  in an iron gray oblique dress, leggings and black boots, the "Butterfly" singer kicked  off the Taipei leg of her The Elusive Chanteuse Show with dance-pop hit "Fantasy".
    Electrified fans waved pink and blue glow sticks in the dark auditorium and held  placards that read "diva", "Mimi I love you" and "TWN loves Mimi". Carey then performed  "Touch My Body" before greeting her fans: "Thank you darlings. How are you feeling this  evening?"
    "Thank you. We're having a good time here tonight with you," Carey told the over 13,000  audience at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall. She kept things going with the mid-tempo R&B song "Shake It Off". During the concert, a fan shouted: "I love you Mariah!" to which she graciously replied: "I love you back!"
    During "Emotions", crowds screamed with excitement when Carey delivered her signature whistle register. The diva, known for her wide vocal range, high-pitch tones and melismatic  singing style, also gave an emotive performance of "Cry". She was expected to reel out  around 20 songs, including fan-favorite "Hero".  (Focus Taiwan News Channel)
