Mariah's twins lead Vogue through a tour of her closet

Her wardrobe is a thing of legend, being profiled on MTV's Cribs and 20/20 with Barbara Walters. And on Friday, Vogue posted an adorable video fronted by Mariah Carey's twins Moroccan and Monroe, six, as they made their way through the massive digs, located in her 12,000 square foot Tribeca penthouse apartment in New York.

Decked out in designer duds, her son proudly tells the camera, "It's called Balmain" when asked by his mother if he knew the name of the designer. The playful twins jostle against each other on a large chair located in the closet which is draped with a Louis Vuitton blanket.

"I have nothing to say or do to intervene, okay? It just is what it is," the 47-year-old diva says of her energetic offspring. Monroe is then quick to covet one of her mother's pink sparkly performance gowns that is hanging separate from the rest of the garments in the room.

When asked by Vogue what her favorite item in the packed closet is, Mariah has a hard time picking just one. A staffer then hands her a pair of jeans with the waistband cut off from her iconic 1999 music video Heartbreaker. The singer, who loves to show skin, told the story behind her trend setting alteration to the denim.

"One day I was with my stylist the late Tonjua Twist and we were doing a shoot and I hated the way the jeans were so high waisted. She cut a little bit of them and then we both ripped the top off of the jeans," she said of the look that became replicated in the early 2000's. "I'm not taking total credit," she jokingly said.

Previously she explained her penchant for designer footwear by describing her humble beginnings on her episode of MTV's Cribs. "There was a time in my life when I only had one pair of shoes. I saved those shoes, but I can't find them now. They were like, all destroyed and the snow used to come through them," she said with a hint of nostalgia. "The girl with one shoe now has many," she continued with a smirk.
