Mariah Carey's twins embarrassed by fame?

Are Mariah Carey's 6-year-old twins embarrassed by being in the limelight alongside their famous mom? That's the claim in one of this week's new tabloids, which says the singer's boy and girl hate when she tries to put them into the spotlight. Gossip Cop looked into the situation, and we've exclusively learned the truth.

Carey often takes her young kids Moroccan and Monroe to red carpet events and has even brought them out on stage at her concerts. An article in the latest issue of OK!, however, is claiming the children are mortified by all the attention. A so-called "source" tells the magazine, "The twins are painfully shy and would rather stay at home, but that's not possible in Mariah's world. They hate being shoved into the spotlight, and it sets them up for major meltdowns."

The outlet's supposed insider adds, "She's not thinking about what's best for them. Even when they're not out with her, Mariah sees nothing wrong with waking them up when she gets home to hang out." The alleged tipster continues, "It's crazy. What they really need is a sense of normalcy."

But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Carey, who exclusively assures us the tabloid's story is "false". The magazine's assertion that the singer drags her kids into the spotlight against their will is simply untrue. Of course, we're not surprised by OK!'s latest piece of fiction about Carey, as the outlet has a habit of publishing bogus reports about the music superstar.

Gossip Cop recently called out the tabloid for falsely claiming Carey was having money problems due to an overly extravagant lifestyle. Shortly before that nonsense, we busted the outlet for making up a story about Carey having a "midlife crisis" and partying nonstop. This latest article involving the singer's young twins is equally phony.

I hope this story isn't true, but their might be some truth to it. On every intro she does of them singing ABMB with her, she always says that she is not sure it they are going to come out, like there is no control of how they will behave. Yeah, they are little kids and could be napping or whatever, but I always wondered why she made it seem like she wasn't even sure if they were going to arrive on time. I don't know what the deal is, but for the kids' sake, less might be more. Anyway, All the Hits tour is done, but here comes Christmas.
