Mariah Carey gushes over her new track Save the Day

Mariah Carey has dropped a number of hits over the years, including a total of 19 No. 1 singles and 82 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100. But the five-time Grammy winner might be most excited about her latest track, which dropped Saturday.

She gushed over Save the Day, a collaboration with Lauryn Hill and the lead single from her upcoming eighth compilation album The Rarities, as she played the song on repeat.

The 50-year-old posted a video to her Instagram Story from her bathroom, as she jammed out in her bathrobe. She said over the music: "OK, I haven't listened to a song of mine this much in two years... no, in much longer than that!"

Carey's latest album drops October 2, featuring a compilation of songs she began working on at various points in her career, but never finished until now.

She told Good Morning America: "I found stuff in my vault that I had either started to work on a long time ago and never released or that I wanted to kind of finish mixing. There are songs that have previously not been released, so it's exciting. It's a monumental occasion for my career. Being in this business for two years is really tough but somehow we've lasted."

The Glitter star previously teased Save the Day, posting a video Friday of herself listening on her headphones, while lounging in a snakeskin robe. She later thanked fans for their praise, posting a selfie, captioned: "You are giving me life with your reactions to Save The Day. Let's go!"

Carey is also preparing to unveil another project that's been years in the making, with her upcoming memoir. Entitled The Meaning of Mariah Carey, the book she calls "a labor of love" will be available September 29.
