Mariah Carey celebrated her first girls night of 2021 in style on Sunday night (January 3), getting cozy on the couch with daughter Monroe for a screening of Mean Girls. Dressed to chill in matching white and pink striped pajamas, the ladies cuddled up with all the essentials according to a tweet from MC, who wrote, "First girls night of 2021! Sparkling apple cider, mangos, strawberries, cookies, and Mean Girls, duh."
It was a busy New Year's weekend for Carey, who posted a video of herself singing "Auld Lang Syne". Well, truth be told, she posted a video in which she began singing the NYE classic, only to stop a few bars in to remind viewers, "I don't know how it goes," before making her way through the rest of the song.
Mariah rang out 2020 on top, with her holiday perennial "All I Want for Christmas Is You", spending its third frame at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, as well as topping the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. survey. The two charts premiered in September and rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The Billboard Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.
