Earlier this week a low-quality recording of the "Infinity (Remix)" featuring Justin Bieber, French Montana and T.I leaked online, thanks a fan who recorded the audio of the remix when it was surprisingly played at a night club, but today, August 8th, we finally get a hold of the HQ studio version of the remix whose official title turns out to be "Why You Mad (Infinity Remix)". The leak is responsibility of TMZ.com! How random, huh? They are known for getting celebrity stories first, but not for leaking new singles... thanks, though!
"Infinity" was the only original song that Mariah Carey included on her "#1 to Infinity" hits compilation album, which was released back in May this year. Seemingly, this unexpected remix of the single is an attempt by Mimi to recapture some lost attention for her compilation, and to just get back on the musical spotlight again. Why jumping on the Justin Bieber bandwagon, though? Couldn't she have picked a better male pop singer guest? I guess she really wants the massive streams coming quick, and what's more massive and quick than the Beliebers family, right?
All things said, this remix is definitely a step-up from the original.
