Mariah Carey is back in the studio, after taking an unconventional ride to get there. On Monday night, Carey posted a photo of herself in a golf cart captioned, "Anyone care for a ride? Off to the studio," followed by a series of studio pics on Instagram.

The singer, who's in the midst of her The Butterfly Returns residency in Las Vegas, sat by the sound board and posed while lounging in total Mimi fashion. She wrote, "About last night..." on the series of pictures, adding "new song" and "workation". Fans are already fluttering with excitement after Carey revealed she'd been in the studio earlier this summer, and new music could be on the way soon.
