Mariah Carey returns to US YouTube Artists Chart

November just started, and Mariah Carey's annual holiday staple "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is already returning to prominence. Its resurgence, in turn, yields a big overall YouTube gain for Carey. Credited with 956,000 US views during the November 1-7 tracking period, the official video re-enters the Global YouTube Music Videos Chart at #79.

With views from other eligible uploads included, "AIWFCIY" amassed 2.05 million total US streams this week. Carey's top-performing track by a considerable margin, the holiday song assists with a return to the US YouTube Artists Chart. Carey takes #78 on this week's chart, courtesy of her 7.97 million overall US streams.

Both the song and Carey are sure to rise in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

With every lamb on the planet predicting a #1 for AIWFCIY, I can't help but think of Murphy's Law. It's my understanding that the Billboard calendar week strongly benefits Mariah's chances, but what, if anything could derail the possibility?
