Mariah Carey's memoir, "The Meaning of Mariah Carey", has been well received all over the world. Within just a few weeks of release, the book has already made it to the number one position on the New York Times list. Carey announced the news on her Instagram on Wednesday.
"Wow. I'm stunned, humbled and so grateful. Writing this memoir nearly consumed my life for the last three years. Love you Michaela. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my story and make this impossible dream a reality. It almost makes it tolerable to have lived through these experiences! Lol."
Carey's book talks about her childhood struggles, her career highlights, failed marriage, and how music gave her life meaning.
Oprah Winfrey congratulated Carey on her achievement. "I expected exactly this. Yay for you!" Oprah Winfrey replied to Carey's post. Diydan Lopez wrote: "#1's ain't nothin new to you MC, we knew this would happen." Other stars who have congratulated Carey include Jordin Sparks, Tommy DiDario, and Sanaa Hamri.
