Who are you rolling your eyes at, Nigeria? You posted a link to a sketch about Oprah on a Mariah Carey messageboard that has absolutely nothing to do with Mariah Carey. Even when most topics veer off here they are some way linked to Mariah. A skit about Oprah bears no relevance whatsoever and is just a complete waste of other people's time and a drain on their interest. People are rightly getting excited about the impending release of Mariah's autobigoraphy and album. Roll your eyes that way.

"I will be turning the page as I listen to Mariah speak. I did it with Tori Amos' book and she had additions on the audio book not in the written book, and vice versa. I will collate any differences and report back."
Great. And if you find any, game plan is: I'll alert the Prime Minister, Eddie's gonna wake up the President and Randy's gonna handle the press. William, you must have them documented in a spreadsheet by the time the Western Seaboard is watching the morning news. Or game over, man. Game over.

Ive pre-ordered the audiobook. Though an avid reader, I want Mariah to tell it to me whilst I sit back with wine and crystal meth. Except not the crystal meth.
Also, whatever happened to release dates being the ultimate reveal? Must songs and tracklistings and chapter titles and coverart be drip fed before the release? By the time the date comes around, half the excitement has gone.

OHOMO (95,654)
by Andrew from the United Kingdom

I am not ashamed to admit I listened and I cried. I cried and cried and listened ten times more and cried. I don't remember the original and I don't need to. This is the original to me now and forever.
It aptly comes at a very sad and difficult time in my life and it is beautiful and perfect and even the Glitter-era voice threw me back to another time, long since passed, of great sadness. And the tears only fell thicker.
I love you for this song, Mariah. But I am not sure I can bring myself to listen to it ever again; like all of your vocals I have it imprinted. But I love you for it and I love you. Only you ever break me, darling. But that's enough now.
Party record, please.

"Oh wow, so she did. Excellent. I can't believe the memoir is so close now. I've actually booked time off work to read it and listen to the new album haha. I am beyond excited."
I have said it before and I shall say it again. William, I often think of you in different ways but of this I am certain: I hope one day someone loves me the way you love Mariah Carey.
I genuinely wish you a lifetime of Mariah happiness. The world would not be half as interesting without the bona fide stans.

William, what we need to do is find someone who went to one of the European legs of the Daydream World Tour and ask them their opinion on it. But where to start?

Save The Day video is the perfect video to accompany Save The Day song. They are both completely shit and an embarrassment for an international superstar. O Mariah. What happened to your talent?

Back up. Stop emasculating Bryan. It is not his place to dictate to Mariah because he has a Y chromosome. Were it so that he was the rich and famous one and she the employee/partner she would not be mocked for following the talent's wishes.
A tad sexist. Woke, are we?

Article: Mariah Carey reveals the tracklist of "The Rarities" (95,499)
by Andrew from the United Kingdom
| |
|
|
Is this tracklisting real?
1. The year on Do You Think Of Me is missing the parenthesis. 2. Track 6 contains a space before it and therefore misalignment of numbers. 3. Slipping Away is listed as 1996. That is not the year in which it was recorded but released. The other years suggest the years in which the songs were recorded.
All seems a bit odd to me.

Have to give it to Babyface, the production on When You Believe stands the test of time. The song sounds classic. I only wish Mariah had the first verse and Whitney the second.
And Mariah's contribution to Every Time I Close My Eyes lifted the song from middle-of-the-road, forgettable pap to something spectacular. I first heard it on Top of the Pops through the wall from my brother's bedroom whilst in the bath one evening. I jumped out and ran naked into his room shouting "That's Mariah, that's Mariah." My brother couldn't get over how I could identify Mariah from backing vocals, faintly, through a wall. And, also, how much bigger my penis was than his. Which is all true. Except for the penis bit. It's actually very small.

Article: Mariah after midnight (95,302)
by Andrew from the United Kingdom
| |
|
|
I still maintain that Mariah has absolutely no clue how the world sees her. Take this article. What is the outcome of this? I dont know about you but I see a rich, pampered, spoiled woman using her wealth to make minions dance around her, nervously fretting over her absolute satisfaction whilst she lies back in the lap of luxury with such worries as candlelight throwing shadows over her chins, all the while moaning that her fame and wealth were difficult and people were a bit mean. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, millions are dying, millions are losing their jobs and people are quarantining at home in tiny box apartments. But don't you cry for yourselves, little people. Decades ago some people said some bad things to Mariah Carey.
This is actually grotesque to read.
So some people were racially abusive many years ago? This will make me even more popular here but I am just going to say it: Mariah, get over it. How long ago was this? How long ago was Tommy? Look at everything that you have, Mariah. Look at the people pissing themselves with fear that your water is not tepid enough. Doesn't that embarrass you?
The more time has moved on the more people have just stopped listening to Mariah rehashing the same old bullshit whilst she acts like a spoiled diva. Yes, everyone is entitled to pain and to relate that pain, but come off it. All I saw here was Mariah trying to attach herself to current racial tensions in the United States which is not helpful and, frankly, really obnoxious. It will endear people to her about as much as trying to associate such crap as Save The Day with current US politics will.
I'd rather she just said she is incredibly thankful all that she has. And pour her own f**king water.
