She sings effortlessly in her whistle register, and the backing track is just for added volume. She looked gorgeous, but if it had gone off without a hitch, she wouldn't have gotten this much publicity. We don't know and probably never will know what was behind this live snafu. It would undoubtedly be compared to her recording with Luther. When she re-recorded Hero, AIWFCIY, and any others I can't recall, they too were compared to the originals and if I remember correctly, not warmly received. I'm all for a duet CD of new and fresh material. I think it's a great idea. Now what if they record a live duet CD? That might be cool too. Then I suppose Endless Love would fit. Commercial success debate (70,293) by Chicago Lamb from USA Isn't it common sense that an artist isn't going to sell as many records, have their songs played on the radio, fall out of favor with the general public after a certain amount of time? I mean, come on. She's not going to just keep recording #1, top 10, or top 40 singles her entire career. What she has managed to do since her commercial peak is quite obvious, otherwise we wouldn't be here, a part of it. Can we just appreciate what we have now?
