In 22 years, Butterfly has sold 3,807,000 copies in the USA (according to Wikipedia). That's only 14,420 copies per month. Caution has sold 18,600 copies per month. So Caution is doing way better than Butterfly. What does Butterfly's sales have to do with my original message? I'm a glass-half-full person, an optimist. I will always look for the positive in every situation. I'm been called delusional and bat shit crazy because of my optimism and guess what I don't care what anyone thinks of me. It may not be on the Billboard 200 but it's remained on the R&B Album Sales chart since its release and has spent five nonconsecutive weeks at #1 on the chart. It's done well considering unlike MIAM it didn't have a Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. (Wednesday 10 April 2019; 23:17)

I think she would've preferred making an album like TEOM instead which is exactly what she did once Reid took over. She praises My Saving Grace, I Only Wanted, The One, and Yours.
