Re: What's wrong with today's pop stars? (59,768) (59,773) by Tevin from USA I love E=MC2, I play it all the time, that and Daydream anyway. I know most young people who have heard songs from E=MC2 loved it. It's funny because I hear a lot of fans on this board (like Andrew) talk badly about that E=MC2 and say that it wasn't a good album. Though it might not have been so cohesive and some lyrics could've been more mature (trill anyone?), from what I've seen it was very popular among people especially young adults and some older ones. Like I said before I played the CD back in high school during an school event and everyone loved it. The point is Mariah needs to make a CD, as pop friendly as E=MC2, as cohesive as MIAM, as laid back as Daydream, as vocally challenging as TEOM with deep meaningful lyrics of Butterfly. When she promotes the album she needs to sing like it's the debut era again as if she has something to prove. Then she can bow out gracefully and go and raise dem babies. I had Migrate on my playlist and out of all the popular songs I had on my playlist Migrate was the only people were jamming too and asking for me to put it on repeat. Re: Underrated songs with chart potentials (58,882) (58,887) by Tevin from USA Mariah did talk about it twice, she said she wanted it to be (she even performed it quite a few times), but LA Reid and the record company said no and wanted to follow the uptempo then ballad formats that made TEOM a success. Only problem was Bye Bye was no We Belong Together, and stuff started tanking after that. Then Mariah got hitched and went MIA. As much as I love E=MC2 I hate it because that CD would have done better than TEOM if all the cards would have been done right. But hey if the CD was a huge success Mariah might not be doing Vegas residency now and I might not have heard her sing Someday live again. (Tuesday 5 January 2016; 4:01)

I wish and hope Mariah will go back to sing with her voice as a highlight like it was her first four albums before all of the layering. Like she showed us the last [...] shows at Beacon concert she still can sing Hero with that light airy voice, like she did back during 96.
