About Mara from United States:
I'm a Mariah fan since the debut. Been through her entire career with her and may not always agree with every single thing she does, But i will always come to her defense when she gets attacked for being misunderstood. I am not a blind fan and relate Mariah to a sister who I would tell in a minute if something seems wrong or something of that nature. I come to this board to discuss her with people who I feel are true fans and yes, some don't always praise her to the heavens every single moment but we all are here for the same reason and we do adore her.

Lenny Kravitz, that would be a cool out of the box collaboration, and Mariah always said she was friends with Lenny. I was watching the Bringin On The Heatbreak video last night and loved the scenes in the maroon dress on stage. I remember seeing her in concert with Charmbracelet and she did a great rendition of BOTH too. Her and Lenny could create a rock type song and they have great chemistry. Stella just went to a Guns N Roses concert last night so maybe they are in a rock mood and she could encourage MC. Stella, even Miska, if you're reading, mention it to MC.

Can I just say Maxwell? Anyone remember the tiny clip of a party with Lee Daniels at someone's apartment in NYC I think and Mariah was singing Happy Birthday to or with Maxwell. My brain is foggy but I swore they were supposed or did collaborate on a song but it never amounted to anything. I need to hear that. He can sing and definitely complement her voice on something. And of course my dream duet will always be George Michael.

I can't speak for everyone here Luke, but I think what is different now is that she is a little older and has two five year olds. Not that you have to become a nun but at some point you should feel comfortable being sexy without having to constantly push them in your face so to speak. In fact it would be super sexy if Mariah just automatically knew she looked damn good and didn't have to rely on boobs to be sexy. Any MC fan knows they have been out for years, it's just getting redundant at this point and frankly it's not really needed. It just seems to give the haters conversation to talk about how MC has to rely on cleavage when in fact she is 100% more sexy when she shows less. Maybe it's just my sole opinion but I do believe a lot of us feel she doesn't need to expose them "so often" to look good. Once in a while? Absolutely, but at this point, every single time she is out? It kinda gets boring. It's almost like it would be a complete shocker if she "did cover up" that kinda says something. Stella's style should not be rubbing off on a star at MC's caliber. I loved seeing her in all those Alexander McQueen dresses that she wore in 2013. Why isn't she in more designer made for her outfits like before? She is Mariah Carey, I don't get it. She really needs a new stylist to make her look every bit a queens that she is.

All I can say is no wonder Rocky is so obsessed with "boobies". Even the wetsuits she wears, she puts them on backwards so she can zipper them down and they are all exposed again. Mariah and her boobs are instilled in her like her right side of her face. She must think that's the only way she looks sexy. When in reality, she looks so much better when she is covered. It still shows her curves. I was so uncomfortable looking at the one picture of her with them all out and that UN man posing with her. I would just love to see her dressed sexy casual just one time in this stage. This idol necklines were spot on. Sometimes too much cleavage gives you a heavier look too. It's not always the most flattering.

Classic 90's Mariah (65,100)
by Mara from United States

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Trini Trent, he has a YouTube Chanel and blogs a lot and speaks from the heart and is always pretty spot on. He just did a video on MC's Emotions and why it was such an underrated gem. He is a huge Lamb and I follow him and also loved his last video on MC during her Christmas show. If you have a chance, check out his video. It brings back that Mariah we have all been missing and takes us back for a few moments. Emotions has always been one of my all time favorite Mariah albums with Til The End Of Time being an absolute favorite and how it leads into the hauntingly beautiful "The Wind". Eric I hope this video is shared correctly because I feel a lot of people on here would appreciate this. I wish a bit of this Mariah would come back, instead of the lavish his and hers yacht Mariah. I just can't get into the flaunting of the luxurious lifestyle too much longer as much as I adore this woman since her debut, it's getting harder and harder to relate to her and I just miss the person we all fell in love with. But please check out this video if you could and if you could find his other Mariah video, that is worth a watch too.

Natalia I do agree with you. Lana is much more natural right now. MC comes with a lot of demands, lighting and diamonds that it probably wouldn't mesh. I remember a long time ago Mariah said she liked the band Hole and I was a fan of theirs at that time and thought wow, how cool would it be if Mariah made a cameo on a song or vice versa and that was way before the ball gowns and diamonds galore. It really does make her less relatable on a personal level. So for that alone, the Lana collab probably never would work. Since then of course Brett has brought Courtney Love and Mariah together on more than one occasion but nothing ever came out of it. Mariah did also mention she was a fan of one of the contestants on AI named Carly Smithson who was a rocky edgy type of singer so I think she likes that type. That is why I thought that collab would have been cool.

Stella's camp / partying (64,863)
by Mara from United States
| |
|
|
I have noticed how many people kiss up to Stella online too. I don't know what they think they will get out of telling her how she "slays" or how much she has done for MC in such a short period of time. It's all so sickening to read all the time. These lambs must think she will notice them and give them all access at a show or something. I have come across quite a few team Stella lambs. I wonder if they really think she cares two hoots about them, the way they go to bat for her. I really think out of all the online sources MC related, that we here at MCA are the most realistic and don't drink the koolaid. I can't help but think the lambs that agree with everything all the time, cannot be being honest with themselves. How they can defend the partying on a daily basis and sum it up as a "good time and letting loose" is beyond me. Once and a while, yeah. Everyday, and no red flags? When you do that on a daily basis, you are running from something. I have been there and have noticed the changes it did to my body and my daily appearance. You cannot live that life without the physical reprecussions. But those rose colored glasses lambs say she is just having fun and let her be free. Ok yes, it sure is fun but the next day you feel and look like shit. Sorry for the language but there is no other way to describe it. And for Stella to claim cyber bullying? Then I'm sorry, don't expose your 13 year old child daughter to the very vocal fanbase of a worldwide success such as Mariah Carey. What do you expect? We would be vocal if an adult ran her social media and made a mess out of it. Don't subject her to the critical mass if you cannot handle the backlash. That is why it should be reserved for an adult. We would call out anyone that posted pics that look like Mariah is either sitting on a toilet or touching herself among many others. You cannot have it both ways. Put your child out there every chance you get and then call out those that criticize for a job done unwell. Stella can quickly change things and protect her daughter from those people that she says are "cyber bullies" she chooses not to. Personally if that was my daughter and she was being attacked by members of a superstars fanbase, I would simply remove her from the opportunity of others to make remarks. I would not want her to be subjected to it. She is simply too young for such a job and undertaking. Then to expect a 13 year old to have the same stamina as 40someting adult at these adult themed events? That poor kid. I'm sorry. I know the whole MC is eternally 12 bit, but "c'mon as MC says" it is really no place for this girl. Give her at least a few years. And on to how Mariah always says if the twins didn't like to travel she wouldn't. Of course the kids will say after 5 days when will we go on an airplane. It really does seem she is repeating history with them only on a more upscale level. I just hope the best for these babies or kids as they are 5 years old now. All this partying late into the night, kids like to get up early and partying you like to sleep, and we all know MC doesn't get up early. You don't always feel good the next day. I pray for Mariah and hope she finds true happiness. Sorry for the rant. What I love about this messageboard is that we can come here and express our feelings with other true fans unlike probably people in our everyday life. On a side note, I second MimiL should be hired my MC as stylist.

New music (64,761)
by Mara from United States
| |
|
|
Well despite all the strange things that have been going on in this era, it looks like new music is on its way. I can't wait for some new Mariah music. While I loved MIAM, I feel like it didn't really fill what we needed somehow. I really sense MC has a fire in her now and she is hungry for that next song of the decade/19th no 1. We have been getting a lot of personal video clips lately from people either on the boat or at the clubs with them and we see a very playful MC really letting loose and having fun it seems. She seems to have dropped more weight in recent pics. MimiL you probably have seen which ones I am talking about. I don't know if this is a theme song for Mariah's World we are getting or a new single. I hope she just surprises us and we don't keep getting the "in the studio" posts. I always loved Mariah's darker songs as mentioned below, the My Alls, BGK, Hate U, The Roof, Til The End of Time, Do You Think of Me, The Wind. Those are some of my all time favourite MC songs in her catalog. That intro video from the Complex shoot was very intriguing and the music was very hypnotic. She should record something with that sound and come out with that same type of video or theme. It did scream a bigger budget than she has shown recently. On a side note, it would be a nice surprise if Mariah did a song with someone like Lana Del Rey. I love her darker moodier songs and I think people would be drawn or interested in a collaboration like that, as it wouldn't be the "expected" duet. I am a huge fan of Lana and I think it would really be cool.

Ok, maybe I overreacted before the backlash comes. I think she looks amazing and powerful in these pictures and I haven't read the Complex article yet, I will later tonight. Maybe I should have preserved my opinion until I did. I do agree with Jono that artists play with their image and should have fun with it. So I apologize for jumping. I am still creeped out by the faces and robes though and not sure what that is all about. I realized it was not skulls on the chair but the background of masked figures. Whatever, maybe it was just dress up. She does look flawless.

Ok guys what is this? She looks very dark and frankly these pics are unlike anything she has done before. At first I thought of the It's Like That video with the red dress and masks and illuminati looking floor. I remember Madonna on some award show with guys wearing creepy masks and it was all just so very dark and over the top. RibbonB that Bishop part is the part that stood out for me too. There was no other words spoken after she mentions she told him "Bye". Ok we can probably bring on the MCArchives chaos again and I will be grilled for this but it almost sounds like that is her "goodbye" to being the "good girl" and these images and creepy looking things in the background and the sculls on her throne chair along with the "red dress" just scream Illiminati. Whether you think it's a farse or not, that's what it looks like to me and it just really screams the theme that the conspiracy theorists say so if it's all a farse then someone is playing and this is what they want to portray. Think about it, between the massive sex sells and that is all we have been seeing with the extreme outfits and the partying non stop. Some people think Stella is with her to keep her in line. Well if that's the case, she isn't doing a great job. Every single pic or at least almost every pic, MC has a "glass" in hand. All the time. This can't be good on her body. I don't understand what is really going on. It just doesn't feel right to me. On a side note to Eric, I want to join the rest of us and say thank you for all you do and all the work you put into this website on a daily basis. If it wasn't for this and Mariah Daily which as we know has succumb to the force, we would really have nowhere to go. So thank you. Welcome to the new members of this crazy family. We disagree sometimes or maybe a lot, but it's all because we have the same passion for MC. So again, welcome.

I don't understand why this kid is always at Mariah's side all the time. It's just weird to me. She is engaged, why not her fiancé? Why is this kid always front and center like she is shoved down our throats and I'm sick of it and a lot of us are sick of it. Why is Mariah in this fog? Does she not see any of this? As far as her face goes, other than aging, because it seems like the change came on fairly quickly, is it possible she had a facelift and that is why it looks like her eyes are different and eyebrows look so high along with forehead? Sometimes when they pull too much it gives that Kenny Rogers, Burt Reynolds effect. Not that she did that, but I'm trying to figure it out myself. Something just seems different and it's noticeable in the pic she posted with Chris Rock in the eye/eyebrow area and forehead.

What about her old true friend from Sweden, Josefin? She was seen with MC when she was on her SSFT so there is some kind of contact there. Also Big Jim? He is pretty accessible and personally replies on Twitter to fans. If you notice every time Mariah had those splashes and parties with Tanaka, Anthony and Stella, Big Jim was never seen. Almost like he wasn't in that "in crowd" or he was not into that scene. Who knows? Whatever the case he seems to genuinely care about Mariah as a friend and person and he seems to have strong faith so maybe we could get his attention. Problem is, people might be afraid of getting cut if they speak or show concern with Mariah. Maybe that is why Josefin could be the outlet since she is not one of Mariah's entourage and has been in Mariah's life since the very early days so the change in behavior has to be noticeable to her too.

Stella's influence (64,163)
by Mara from United States
| |
|
|
It's amazing how much influence she has been having on MC. It's quite sad we never see anyone form MC's past or family of her own other than Shawn at one of her shows. Mariah has no problem with Stella's father Vlad around or her mother. It really does seem like Stella is working her way to get the general public to get to know her family in a reality show type of way. Between Miska and that blank stare of a smile in every picture to her dancing father on Twitter videos. They are all enjoying Mariah's stardom. I noticed Mariah is almost emulating Stella's style now too. From the similar hair style (at the 1 Oak party) to the outfits even to the very talon like nails. Mariah always had beautiful nails and now they are like Stella's, shaped long with a point. One question: Stella always mentions love and light at the end of a lot of her posts. Is Stella a Scientologist? There is never a mention of God anymore on Mariah's end and I'm wondering if she is influencing her on that end too.

Fly Like a Bird was written and produced by Big Jim Wright along with Mariah of course. I just wanted to bring that up. I think Big Jim is a great person to work with and not to mention phenomenal piano player. I would not mind Mariah creating another FLAB myself, I don't think he is "too old". You need someone like him if you want that retro feel. I agree she should work with other writers and producers too but I am a fan of Big Jim.

Mariah I am so proud of the job you did last night. Sounded amazing, looked great and she had this fierce yet classy confidence. Loved it. And it was nice to see JD and Brat there too. She should come out with a killer version of Emotions with that amazing intro that she has been doing and just blow them away. Maybe Fantasy, VOL if she can deliver it like her recent Vegas shows that would be amazing. It would be nice if she added a jazz song. "My All" the way she has been doing it. Would love if she did a duet with Maxwell. Oh my, I know they are on different nights but that would be something that would have people talking right now. Maxwell's new album comes out tomorrow and his song "Lake By The Ocean" is doing really well. I just hope she can go out there with confidence and if she does that, her singing will come with it. I know she gets nervous with crowds that are not at one of her shows but she can pull it off. Even if she does something piano and in alto like TGIFY, those low notes she hits are just as impressive as the high. Her range is amazing and I just hope she has fun with it.

Marissa, thank you for that. You composed a response that sums it up very eloquently. I don't think any of us lose any sleep over what Mariah does at all, nor do we live our lives around her. Mariah has always had that close connection with her fans especially the ones that saw her through some of those dark times she went through and rose back from. I will always support her because it comes down to the music and no outfit will ever take away the memories and how her albums take me back to where I was in life. I guess we are just missing some of that and don't need other fans to tell us to "give up on her" or take a break or whatever else was said. One thing about Mariah's fans is we are very diverse. Where one thinks the outfits are "hot and she slayed" others like the classier look, sound whatever. Some like "hoodryiah" as they say on social media. It's very diverse. After 26 years though I won't be told to move on if I don't always agree with what an artist does. And certainly if I feel worried about someone, just like my family, I would say it. Why does this board tend to make the ones who do worry, feel somewhat like the "uncool" people who don't know how to have fun? I don't know, maybe these "fans" are right, maybe we should not care so much anymore.

by Mara from United States

I have been reading everyone's posts and I agree with all of them. What gets me is where are the people around her? Do they really say "Yes Mariah that looks hot"? It gets me that they have to know she is making a classless mistake and nobody stops her. Maybe they do and she just doesn't care, but somehow I doubt that. Just like some of the people that look at her and say she looks amazing, why not flaunt it. Flaunt what? I'm sorry, but she looks like a Frederick's of Hollywood model, not the megastar talented legend that she is. What is going on? I was embarrassed when I had the MCA news up on my phone when someone borrowed my phone. It looked like I was searching some x-rated thing. What worries me is this blank look that MC has been having lately. Especially when she is with Sussone. The same look she had when she was in the studio with him. She looks to be on something and it's worrying me. It's giving me Anna Nicole vibes and I really don't know what is going on right now. How can she go from being on stage and composed to this where she looks totally out of it and this hair flipping that she has been doing lately? I wish her mom would pay her a visit but all we see is Stella's parents out in the house MC rents. I hope when her head clears she can get it together.

Mariah's style (62,957)
by Mara from United States
| |
|

Wow. I just have to say Mariah looks amazing in that black dress. Wow. Her body looks better than ever and her face is matching it. Her hair looks great that color and length. I am not the biggest fan of her hair poker straight and parted in the middle, but this look is great and reminds me of the #Beautiful era hair. I think this length is great too since it's still sexy but not like a length where you look like it's extensions taking over your body. The other dress was nice too but that black dress was on point. And Mariah, whatever you are doing to get your arms back in shape is working. I'm getting my inspiration here lol. I don't know what it is about MC but whenever her face is thin she literally looks like she aged backwards at least 10 years. Simply losing weight does not do that for everyone. She really could have a great era if everything lines up. The look is back, we just need one hot song. Even if it's a theme song from MW. I can't wait to see the Vegas show and if she changes the ensambles at all. Wouldn't it be fun if she came out in a showgirl outfit like Breakdown or ISIL video?

Everything but the music (62,643)
by Mara from United States
| |
|
|
I just had to get something off my mind. I noticed lately since MC's new management she has been into everything but new music. She has Vegas, which she was working on before so I won't really count that, but she is doing the SSFT with it possibly continuing in October in Brazil. She has this show on E, greatest hits CD, Hallmark deal, Christmas shows, even her own vodka. Some people have posted on here stating that if we are concerned about some things we cannot be true fans/lambs. I cannot sit here and try and prove what a true fan I am or not. I have been there since day one and I was in 8th grade. I have seen Mariah evolve from the young 19 year old girl to her grand wedding to TM to her face at the Grammy awards the year she was completely robbed and she was wearing her lime dress and white dress and every time her name was announced TM was seen smacking his gum while she sat there as Alanis M won it all and all I could think was how cold he was and how she deserved someone who would be good to her. To her getting the courage to leave him and go through freedom and then Glitter and overcoming that and then to see her finally becoming a mother which I admit I never thought I'd see, to now all of this. So I am sorry if I look to any of you as a non lamb but I am anything but. I am sorry if I feel protective of her and I don't like what I see. Is MC looking like she is having a ball and loving life? Maybe. Who really knows? Is she making money since this new management? Yes. But most everything she is into now, is what Stella is known for too. Stella if you want to get the trust of Mariah's *insert whatever adjective you want* fans then please use your influence to get her to record some new music. This is what she lives for or at least always said she did. It's where she creates her masterpieces. Don't sit there on Instagram with your daughter and whoever else and throw up the birds telling haters to F off. Where is the maturity in that? This is a living legend you represent and please don't attack me that Mariah can't have fun. Of course she could, and I don't want anyone saying you want the Mariah that was under TM. That is farthest from the truth. Butterfly was one of my fav eras seeing her so free. But if Mariah does not care to make new music ok, we don't really know that. But how about the next time you try to talk to her about her next project, you remind her about the music. Sorry if I'm sounding demanding, I don't mean to and would never tell Mariah what to do. I'm talking about a manager that seems to have her in everything but.

I noticed that too when the dancer was brought up. He is a young good looking guy and let's face it, she is Mariah freaking Carey and makes that entrance during her shows like a goddess and she beautifully striking in person. He probably grew a little crush on her and I'm sure Mariah had a ball on this tour traveling the world and it showed. She's engaged, but that doesn't mean we can't be attracted to other people or appreciate a handsome guy. I have to say when MC doesn't want to address an issue or question she sure totally diverts the question.
