Mariah's Theme has everything you said it doesn't. 90% of Mariah's songs do.

This. Mariah's vocals on Daydream are dreamy and I believe it was intentional. Mariah is a master at what she does. A lot of her best songs could be described as dreamlike. She's able to use her voice in ways that lulls her listeners into her dream world. Mariah's attention to detail, especially her intricately layered vocals and background vocals, sets her apart from Whitney and Celine.

It's been on the R&B Album Sales chart for 18 weeks and is back at #1 this week, its fifth nonconsecutive week at #1 on the chart. I also listen to Caution daily which I didn't do with MOAIA or MIAM. I don't think Mariah or Epic are going to abandon this album after just 4 and a half months.
I think Caution which is one of the album's most streamed songs should be the next single. Mariah should call up Paul Hunter and resurrect Agent M for the video.

Underneath The Stars is the best song on Daydream. It's one of Mariah's best songs. I hope she gives us a song like UTS or FOJ on her next album. I love when Mariah is in storyteller mode. Her lyricism is next none.

Obsessed does sound out of place on Memoirs. However, it's the most radio friendly song on the album and a welcomed change of pace.

Mariah is going to continue releasing R&B albums for the foreseeable future. She'll probably make a gospel album when she's in her mid to late 50's.

Are you referring to the Aretha biopic starring Jennifer Hudson? Who do you think should play Mariah in a biopic? What happened to the Starz series based on Mariah's life? Is it officially over?

Daydream was the first album I ever bought and it is perfection but Butterfly is my favorite. In my opinion, When I Saw You is the vocal standout of Daydream.

After Memoirs and MIAM Mariah really needed to streamline her next release. Today, it is common for artists to release albums loaded with tons of songs and I'm glad Mariah chose quality over quantity.

Thanks. In my opinion great albums are albums where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I can't believe I forgot that she was the sole producer of Vanishing. I hope I don't get kicked out of the lambily for that one, lol.

It would've been a great addition to fhe soundtrack. Is Melt Away the only song in her discography that she produced by herself?

Maybe I love Caution because its the album I wanted her to make. She worked with the producers that I've been begging her to work with since November 2014 (Bruno's, Drake's, and The Weeknd's (The Stereotypes, Nineteen85 Skrillex, Lido, and Poo Bear) and kept JD's involvement to a minimum.

Can't Let Go is one of my favorite songs as well. It would've been Mariah's sixth consecutive #1 had Columbia not pulled it to boost sales of Emotions.

Mariah produced Melt Away by herself after co-writing it with Babyface. If it was originally written for the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack wouldn't he have co-produced it with her? Where did this even come from?

Only two of the ten songs on Caution feature production from collaborators Mariah has worked with before and both are highlights (A No No and 8th Grade).
