The man worries me. I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something about him that just seems sketchy. He gave Billboard an interview and said for radio to just play M is already winning to which I agree. But I don't know, he is very hit or miss and is the "forever picking the wrong second singles" powers that be. The only thing he's got going on for him is Meghan Trainor. Like, poor Ciara with her dismal 19k album debut, the Fifth Harmony girls getting their Billboard performance nixed and it seems like they're taking forever to blow up. Toni's little sister Tamar is like a one hit wonder I suppose, but I still find her hilarious. Well, all that to say if Mariah feels supported and heard as an artist then coolies. Were you talking about this Mimi L.? (53,495)
by Lee TS from USA
This is an amazing performance of VOL in a very, very long time. Tens across the board dahling. Although not 90's perfect or whatever that may be, it's perfect to me. And I didn't mean anything about my comment on Mariah's size or shaming her, never. She's given such incredible looks over the years that sometimes I do forget she's human. Not my fault she's one of the most "beautifulest" woman ever. Anyway, totally loving the Ellen sneak peek of the video and hoping for more comedy moments. (Tuesday 19 May 2015; 0:25)
Infinity video (53,457)
by Lee TS from USA
From the sneak peek and knowing what she has filmed so far. I can already kinda guess how the video is going to go. From the closet, to the vanity, then onto the stage in front of a crowd. It's basically her getting ready for a show, look at the difference between the hair and eye makeup. Probably something like the show must go on even though you're gone. Beauty shots upon beauty shots in beauty lighting and loving herself more and more. I just hope it's a good video. (Monday 18 May 2015; 11:36)
Billboard (53,456)

I don't know how to feel about it, I wasn't in awe. It was just ok to me. I thought she started off well until she started belting in VOL but at least the last and big "all" sounded decent. And when Infinity came in it got a little messy I couldn't even hear her singing corny like fritos, kind of like when she sings TMB and the verses are lipped until she sings Caribbean sea. I thought the two gowns she wore were very pretty but it wasn't pretty on her. I'm sorry but they didn't flatter her body and it made her look even bigger. I know she's in thickums territory now but I know she's most confident when she's in great shape. I want her to look like the Infinity cover. Her stage presence was weak too, she wasn't commanding it and I felt like she kept looking down. I think JLo's face kinda expressed how I felt, very mixed. I wasn't even too bother when they pan the camera to JLo, at least she clapped unlike that fake lip Kylie Jenner. She looked so uninterested and was straight up rude not to applaud. That girl irks me and I hope her boyfriend goes to jail. Anyway, I knew M wouldn't sit in the audience but if she did, she would have been next to JLo and Britney. That would have definitely been a moment. Ummm, I thought it was cute when the background singers were punching in Infinity. That's all. (Monday 18 May 2015; 10:44)
Oscars '99 (53,405)
by Lee TS from USA
I have to agree that Whitney did slay Mariah in that performance although I don't think she meant to, but Whitney did her thing. That would've been one performance I wish Mariah would be sleeping all the week and vocal rest. It's the Oscars dahling. Still, it was a nice moment they shared as the ultimate divas. Mimi L. (53,398)
by Lee TS from USA
I actually took a visit to the wiki page you mentioned. Ummm not only is Ariana's name taken off the list but "Someday" is added to the songs M will be performing. How odd. I highly doubt that Ariana would be at the BBMAs, she's in Europe on her world tour. It would be nice to see M do the red carpet, sit in the audience, and doing a few selfies with Britney etc. but I kinda doubt it. Knowing M, she'll probably show up, sing, smile, say thanks, and ditch the whole thing being the elusive chanteuse that she is. (Sunday 17 May 2015; 0:54)

I think that was a soundbite from an interview. I feel like I've heard her say that before. And she sounds young in that clip like '98 ish. I hope everything goes well and smooth for the BBMAs. No drama and a stellar performance. (Saturday 16 May 2015; 3:37)
#1's (53,325)
by Lee TS from USA
M is thirsty for #1's it's true. She said it in the interview with SIO, and even commenting at least they got one hit out of MOAIA. She answered a fan during her twitter takeover for iHeart radio that she wanted every other song released to be #1 and that was the honest answer. Yes, I agree that she doesn't write and produce a song with the main focus of it being a hit. But I do believe the label releases a song in all hopes for it to succeed. (Thursday 14 May 2015; 23:36)
Vegas is like the Olympics (53,287)
by Lee TS from USA
So I hope M is discipline enough to endure this run and come out victorious. I don't want to seem like I'm going in on her but I need her to treat this like a 9-5 job with normal hours and train on the daily. She can't be filming videos and wrapping up at 3 in the morning when she has a show the next night or going out to catch a strip show on her nights off. No, I don't even know what I'm saying really. I mean of course I want to see her have fun and enjoy herself, but she needs to buckle down a bit and be on a strict routine schedule in order to survive this Vegas gig and not "winging" it. She needs to take care of herself and be in good health and voice. She's been plagued with bad health in recent years in the most critical times of her career. Dislocated shoulder, bronchitis, emotional distress possibly, and bronchitis again. I hope she's feeling better by the moment. (Thursday 14 May 2015; 13:44)
Mimi L. / Marcus (53,277)
by Lee TS from USA
If Mariah goes making out with Drake, thirsts after Justin Bieber, or falls down from a stage maybe she'll get mentioned on Clevver. That's what Madonna did to stay relevant. JLo always wears beautiful dresses it's true, even I get enamored by her ageless beauty. I guess maybe to some they already wrote Mariah off as irrelevant, I don't know what to tell you. I think it was you that mentioned 1D, and I get where you're coming from because they're so hot at the moment and their fandom literally controls Twitter. But if Mariah was to hop on their bandwagon it would just seem thirsty. It would make more sense for them to work with Ariana than MC to be honest. In other news, does Tamar Braxton get no love from the lambily that she showed up for M's opening night? Or is it because she wasn't Beyonce? No shade. And yes Marcus, we know Infinity isn't a knock out the park and probably fell off BB Hot 100 (what's the tea?) this week but it maybe a sleeper hit. At least I hope so, if not, M gains another flopped single. And she will go working on the next thing or like a lamb mentioned, do a Janet and go in hiding and we can cry our eyes out. Wait oh my gosh as I'm writing this it seems like M cancelled her show tonight. Oh no. I can already see the headlines now. (Thursday 14 May 2015; 4:08)
Vegas residency (53,264)
by Lee TS from USA
About Mariah's residency feeling temporary. If you check out Caesar's website Celine is filling up a lot of dates and her sales seems impressive. Her expensive $500 and $250 seats are sold out for her opening night. Besides that one NY Times article there's never been a confirmation for more Mariah dates than the ones announced. I don't know, it feels very much like a test run and filling in for Celine-while-she-is-gone type of thing. It also feels a bit rushed when she announces a residency in January for a May opening night whereas JLo starts hers early 2016. Now Vegas is all divas galore, divas for everyone haha. I would die if Mariah did a Madonna/Lady Gaga/Katy Perry pic with Celine, Britney, and JLo just for laughs. But we know that will never happen since she doesn't know any of them, the shade of it all. I just want to see Mariah in good voice and good body. The only good thing that came out of Idol was that she looked flawless. I hope Brett can live up to his collaborations with M for Infinity and maybe not so much input from M, sorry but have you seen YME. And I hope she kills and slays the upcoming performances. Let her find her inner diva and serve it. (Wednesday 13 May 2015; 23:13)
Britney / JLo (53,261)
by Lee TS from USA
Oh my gosh yes Mimi I know what you're talking about. I like to watch Clevver's DHR and Mariah never gets any love there and I think because they're so far up Ariana's you know what. Every little thing Ariana does gets reported and because Mariah's her sworn enemy she gets snubbed. Ok maybe that is a little bit exaggerated. Clevver tends to focus on Young Hollywood and their demo audience are like 12 year olds. But I would think when Mariah had her over the top welcome rollout in Vegas that it'll at least get a mention. Besides that the only time I had a problem with Clevver was when one of the girls referred Miley as "MC" and I was like, "Seriously?" I was listening to Billboard's podcast and it's interesting if you're a chart freak. They had like a special podcast dedicated to Britney's PG and she was getting so much love. They mentioned she was forecast to debut with 100k in sales and that's considered a bit on the low side. Sigh, I would be ecstatic if Mariah did those kind of numbers. I hope Infinity is a sleeper hit. Now JLo, there's nothing to say but the woman is winning. Can't really hate on that but congratulate her, she's doing her thing. She's been in talks with Vegas for awhile and even did a NYE performance at Caesar's. So I doubt she's hardly "copying" in how low she can go. There were rumors of her doing Vegas way before M ever considered a residency, that's the tea. And I feel M's residency is very temporary especially since Celine announced her return. The interview (53,151)
by Lee TS from USA
Yeah that was such a nice read, I almost didn't want it to end as I was taking in every word she was saying. I agree I love it when she does these print interviews in the middle of the night in her hotel suite. I really want to see M do a cover with the twins for People magazine. Those covers of celebrity moms with their kids always look so happy like JLo and Britney. I love seeing the mom side of her. (Saturday 9 May 2015; 12:29)

I appreciate M being a bit more demure with her recent ensembles for the promo. I'm no prude but it's nice to see her cover up and your focus is on her beauty. Pip points for the stylist. Good luck on opening night. (Thursday 7 May 2015; 0:08)

Interviews (52,635)
by Lee TS from USA
Yes I have to echo the sentiment about her interviews also. She's doing fabulous with them and it's great to see her having fun too. I love seeing and hearing her talk making sense with just a little bit of rambling, the lady tends to ramble it's true. But this time around she's not all over the place and erratic. Remember when fans were worried about her mental state during MIAM? So let's hear it for the girl haha. The only thing for me was she looked a little tired and she probably is. (Thursday 30 April 2015; 23:04)
Music video (52,614)
by Lee TS from USA
I believe M said they're still working on it and filmed the beginnings of it. Let's not get too worked up about it, I believe they will release it in due time. Infinity isn't going to make a huge splash right away, what I do hope is that it can steadily build momentum. The lyric video is garnering up some views so that's a good sign. I really do hope that radio will receive it well and support when it gets added next week. Let's experience the thrills in increments like M once did, "Yay #57." (Thursday 30 April 2015; 15:16)

I've been trolling YouTube (52,442)
by Lee TS from USA
And like this board it's filled with a lot of different feelings. But here's my message on the video: I love the song and it's not just because I'm a lamb. But I actually get what she's trying to do here. This song is a break up anthem but instead of wallowing in Bobby Womack songs hoping for him to come back around, she's saying she will be ok on her own. A lot of people are going in on the lyrics like the Fritos line. If you really knew M you know she's poking fun at herself and making light of the situation with her humor - and she's fulfilling her MC rapper fantasy by rapping the verse. It's slick. But what draws me is the chorus and she's sangin' on it, and I get why she's singing the word "infinity" in that key, it's like soaring and leaving it all behind. Now no shade to Ariana but she might actually appreciate this song at this point in her life. Infinity for all. (Tuesday 28 April 2015; 1:47)
If you want Mariah to shut up (52,391)
by Lee TS from USA
Then here you go, the instrumental to Infinity. I actually really do like the music and the song too. So yeah, I am too a bit confused with the mixed reaction. I do agree it does sound a bit overproduced or rough on some spots but overall it's really good. Give it a chance. (Monday 27 April 2015; 18:43)
