Re: Ellen interview (68,605) (68,615) by Lila from United States
I saw the video clip too and I just can't with her. Just say you were being stupid instead of lying. Also, this Mishka girl needs to go. It still blows my mind that she's supposedly friends with a little girl. A child is taking nude pics of her. Wow. Here I thought we had all learned from Michael Jackson that there is no such thing as grown adults being friends with children. Silly me.

Mariah and "Kuschelrock" (68,614) by MusicfanJ from Germany
On a German TV-special Mariah is on the countdown for 30 years of Kuschelrock (a famous compilation with romantic songs). Again they said how Mariah dominated the 90ies with her voice and only Whitney came close to her. So true and I'm still in love with "When you believe". Perfect soundtrack song. The music of the 90ies especially the ballads were amazing. Sorry I have a "retro-phase" at the moment.

Re: Will Mariah's popularity recover or are Lambs just old? (68,604) (68,613) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Don't bother. If they think going down the Kardashian route is best for Mariah, let them live in that bubble. But to later complain that Mariah doesn't get the respect she deserves as an artist is not going to work anymore. If they want Mariah to go down the Kardashian publicity stunt mode, they should accept that Mariah will be treated the way the Kardashians are. Also I'd like to know in what sense Mariah's instagram is "popping". Clearly I've been looking at some other profile then you because all I see are low quality, blurry messy and sometimes soft porn posts. At least take from the Kardashians here and make better posts. Lastly I really find it interesting how some people indirectly try to defend Stella and Mishka here more than Mariah herself. Stella, Mishka, Liana, are you guys lurking the board darlings?

Mariah and Jazz (68,612) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I know we had a similar topic but I listened to Melody Gardot and thought Mariah should really make a pure jazz-album one day. Her MC2 has great jazz-influenced songs. It's although the royal-class of music and Mariah definitely has the ability to put her mark on it. Nothing against pop and rnb but jazz is another league. I'm pretty sure the youngsters won't buy, but the "old ones" would love and buy it. One last thing Gregory Porter and Mariah in duet, I keep dreaming.

Completley agree Licia. Only a non-talented person should take this way to get attention or whatever. I'm fine if we never get another top-ten hit. By the way Instagram is so overrated. A superstar/musician should please the fans and show the talent to others. Followers mean nothing. There are some great artists who sell music very well and aren't on Facebook and Co.

Put the negativity in context (68,610) by Marissa from USA
This has been on my mind for a while. Every few weeks you have a few lambs that come here to chastise us about our behavior on this board. To them I would say: Consider the context. Don't make it seem like Mariah just won a Grammy last night, has an album in the top 10 on the charts and just won a Nobel prize last week and we're all sitting here complaining. I'm tired of people taking lambs' attitudes out of context as if we were just born mad instead of seeing the negative attitudes as a reflection of what's going on in MC's career. Do you all remember these levels of complaints 10 years ago? Of course not, because her career, effort, attitude, and integrity were on point then. People weren't complaining because there was nothing to complain about. Was there just a random influx of negative lambs or has MC's career and attitude changed drastically over the years? Let's be real here. Also, some lambs should stop acting like longsuffering is a common skill. It isn't. If you're a person who can deal with disappointment for years and never lose heart even slightly or complain, congratulations, but don't make it seem like that's the norm. Complaining may be unpleasant for some to listen to but it's still the most normal response to dissatisfaction. If you have the discipline to be unhappy and never utter a word about it, great, but please have some empathy and realize that "not everybody has that" instead of trying to make people feel bad for having human responses. I can count on less than one hand how many people truly come on here with 100% baseless complaints anyway. So ultimately, instead of getting caught up in the feeling of "how dare these peasants ever complain about Mariah", look at whether what people want is actually legitimate. Is it really immoral to want her to have a successful album again? Do we deserve a spot in hell for wanting her to have a manager who's more lowkey? Don't get caught up in trigger words or phrases and end up losing sight of what people are actually want for her, which is usually pretty innocent and good.

Re: Mariah's popularity will never recover (68,582) (68,609) by Lee from UK
Marissa, with the greatest respect, are you completely mad? Are you actually saying that before TEOM, Mariah "hadn't truly solidified herself as a legend yet"? I hope this is a joke. I think I actually spat out some tea as I was reading this.

Stills from Ellen appearance (68,608) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Robe moment. Next we have the strip moment. Mariah giving TEOM vibes. Mix of TEOM and E=MC2 actually. Mariah with Ellen.

I would prefer (68,606) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
At this point in Mariah's career I would prefer quality over quantity but if the quality and quantity could meet somewhere in the middle I would be more than happy. To be honest the ball is in Mariah's court and she can either make the shot or miss it entirely. But with that being said it does not change the fact that I am still thankful to Mariah for sharing her music and artistry with us all these years. Happy holiday season to my Archives family.

Ellen interview (68,605) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Here is the link to the Ellen interview. As usual, pointless interview where we don't really learn anything. She doesn't go into details about Packer (which is fine, that is her personal life), she doesn't mention any of the things she is there to promote. Like what did she go to promote? MW? Beacon? Diva's Live? Her MAC collection? The SSFT shows? New songs? No one knows. I really don't get it. Plus again, no performances. That bath tub photo explanation was so next level untrue that I just can't. Seriously Mariah? Your manager's "relative" *cough* Mishka *cough* can just walk into your bathroom at 4 am? No boundaries? You complain that your kids don't let you bathe alone but it's fine for random new comers to just go in and take pictures? Which she apparently said no to, yet made their way on her social media? She must really think we're quite the stupid bunch. Also where is that alleged body suit? Because we can damn near see her boobs in it's entirety and still no sign of the bodysuit or the straps. Honestly, the only good thing about the interview was she looked great, very TEOM era, but that's about it. But I guess we are in a time where shallow things are all that matters.

Re: Will Mariah's popularity recover or are Lambs just old? (68,600) (68,604) by Lila from United States
Basically. I don't get why some fans don't get this. The forethought is not that the ratings will be bad but that the content will be and hurt Mariah's image in the process. Have some of these people not seen the comments for reality tv shows that indulge in messiness and drama and stupidity, like Love and Hip Hop? The GP tunes in for these shows, yes. They love the drama, the messiness, the crazy but they don't respect the people on them. They laugh at, criticize, and berate them. These people aren't taken seriously. And yes, as you said, viewership does not translate into sales of music or products. Same goes for Instagram followers.

Merry Christmas II You (68,603) by Tyler from USA
On a Happier note "Merry Christmas II you" is back on Spotify. I am obsessed with this album and its production. I take this album over the first Christmas album any day of the week. The string production and Mariah's voice on this album is incredible. I don't think she's ever had an album that flowed so perfectly. On another note, I really hope she changes up the set list this year at the Beacon. The show has been identical for the last couple of years. I plan on going twice this year and want some sort of surprise. P.S If we are banning topics can we please ban Stellar. I cannot take another Stella conspiracy story. I don't get how people can be so put off by her yet be so obsessive and follow her every move. The obsession is scary.

Lol I love this webmaster revealing the words since you wanted to know. These posts have been like one big holiday dinner with the family gone awry, or what is normal for a lot of families, arguments, politics, gossip some music. All we need now is the food.

Re: Will Mariah's popularity recover or are Lambs just old? (68,589) (68,600) by Licia from USA
Maybe us old lambs have the good sense to know that extra followers won't necessarily mean success and that she doesn't have to go this route for attention. As you said people want to see a train wreck. They don't really care about her as an artist or as a business woman. They just want to see messiness. She might obtain the highest ratings ever for her show, but I can bet these same followers won't buy her music, won't go to see her movies, or support her in anyway unless there is messiness involved. If the masterplan is to ruin her reputation further and make her joke then it's going exceptionally well. I wish all the fun names that us elderly fans got called weren't censored. Lol. [Webmasters: The fun names were: old, mean, miserable, and lonely.]

We love Nick (68,599) by Mirage_Nunez from America
Disclaimer: Sorry webmaster just need to clarify this one last thing. No one is more drained and tired of this topic than me. The "part time parent" comment wasn't meant to come for Nick's parenting "skills", because like I've said many times before he's a great dad to Roc and Roe. It was more so towards the notion of not living in the same household with his children on the daily basis. Also if he continues to "be fruitful" with different women, then being a "part time parent" will be inevitable. Roc and Roe's daddy time threatens to dwindle if split with 25 other kids. It'll just be even harder to balance 8 jobs and a bunch of kids from different women. Things happen I know life isn't perfect, but just stating why there's an ideal way of planning a family with a spouse. I guarantee you Mariah and even Nick would agree. After all they both have strong spiritual backgrounds and thought they'd be together forever.

Yes please, Nick is a significant part of Mariah's life, but is just so irrelevant to us fans in general and has occupied quite an unwarranted chunk of space on this board.

With the greatest of respect, Sheila, if the "masterplan" you speak of is to gain Instagram followers by leaking fake stories to TMZ, I'd rather she remained unpopular.

Re: Nick (68,566) (68,592) by Mirage_Nunez from America
Dear nothing is wrong with my comprehension at all. I haven't taken anything out of context. I started my own spin off topic about people running to Nick's defense when he's call out on his mess (and attacking Mariah in the process). I suggest you go all the way back and notice that my original post wasn't directly quoting anyone else's post. I'm gonna need you and your friend to not question my intelligence or comprehension skills when evidently you are the ones missing my point. Perhaps if you read my post a few more times the will come on, because I won't be re explaining it again. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

That means we absolutely should give Rihanna 3 more number ones - that way we'll light a fire under Mariah's butt and get her going again. I really want to see in person that airplay and chart dominance she had in 1990s and 2005.
