Do someone know what is the effect of this for Mariah's career? Is it massively good?

When Christmas Comes (92,745)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
Does anyone knows how YouTube Algorithm works? Because I just discovered something about WCC that can hint that Mariah and her team are boosting the song in a passive way. Whenever I watch With You, WCC automatically comes next until now that the Christmas is over. Before, it was Caution that comes next every time after With You which is understandable. If this was her teams doing, I think they planned to boost Caution before to see if it will have a momentum and WCC as their target for the next "big" Christmas song.

That's what I thought so too. Shakira is such a breath of fresh air, people really do miss her that why her songs charted again up until now. But in the case of JLo, I don't know if it's because of the Mariah-JLo shade that I see her set as forced. She has this aura of proving something to everyone and the way she is with Shakira especially at the end, she seems have this vibe that is superior and she seems portraying as "I'm the bigger star here" based on her body language. Lol I don't know but that's my two cents.

Superbowl Halftime Show (92,725)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
The reality is that Mariah can't do the show jusy by herself, what I always imagined is she and Celine do it together. I think it will be amazing to see them both on that stage plus it won't hurt if they have a Whitney hologram at the end. Ballads but in a grandiose and classy way. Make it happen Jay Z.

John Legend's new song (92,469)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
Have you guys listened to his new song? I just imagine it would be nice if Mariah hops on in this song, write some new verse and released it as a remix like what Ed Sheeran and Beyonce did to Perfect, I honestly think it would be nice to at least tease us with this before she release something on her own. Hit or not I think I and everyone will be glad if she do this, it's a good song and a great addition to her collaborations.

It's wonderful that she chose to work with Joseph Kahn with the new version of AIWFCIY. I do hope she continues to work with him in the future, #Beautiful and AIWFCIY is a testament for that.

Can I just say that Mariah is really in the league of her own. I can't compare her career path with her contemporaries, I mean her recent success speaks volume for that like whatever comes her way she always managed to rise above it strongly. It always feels good to be a lamb during these moments. Have a great 2020 ahead.

This is amazing, Celine as always exudes confidence and you can see that inner peace and contentment within herself at this point of her life. I really do hope Mariah will reach that too.

Re: Jennifer Lopez's management / Grammys (88,003) (88,010)
by Malcolm from Asia

I can't deny that JLo really puts an effort in everything but that's just another side of the story, because without her management and the people behind her, it will all fall out. Just like what Nikki said, JLo still seems like a striving artist who needs to do everything to achieve certain status compared to Mariah whose iconic and legendary status were already cemented because of her own talent and impact to the industry even after all the downfalls and embarrassment.

Jennifer Lopez's management / Grammys (87,992)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
Who else thinks that JLo just has a great and big management to back her up with these huge gigs that she's getting? I mean I don't think she's deserving to be included in that monologue with Michelle Obama and the others because all she does in her career was just mediocre to me and she doesn't have a huge impact to people, and that Motown tribute?

Grammys 2020 (87,991)
by Malcolm from Asia

Caution is such a great solid R&B album for it to be not nominated so I think Mariah will have a big chance of winning next year. Rihanna, The Weeknd and Childish Gambino will probably release a new album this year so let's just see how it will all turn out.

"thank u, next" music video (86,569)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
I hope to God that Mariah will not hold another grudge to Ariana because of the upcoming full-length Mean Girl inspired music video of "thank u, next" haha. By the way, Ariana just praised Mariah yet again by commenting "peep me and the queen" because of some Ariana fan who posted the Spotify chart position on UK which is "thank u, next" and AIWFCIY are #1 and #2 respectively. Really hoping for a collab or even just a friendship between the two like what Patti is to Mariah.

Different opinions / Caution (86,399)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
Respect that everyone has opinions different from the other and not pushing your taste and views to everyone as if you are the right one. I can't really understand why does someone will stay in a place where they're not happy and contented. I guess it's not about Mariah anymore, it's about proving their point every time so that they feel superior.
Anyway, I love Caution and 8th Grade so much. Everything about this era is good, though it doesn't seem that it will have a commercial success, the album being called as "universal acclaim" alone is wonderful, so happy for her. But what irks me a little is their release date same with 4 new albums, wish they released it earlier or after that week.

Don't forget about The Greatest Showman (85,630)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
It's in fact Mariah vs. Michael vs. that movie's soundtrack. There's no doubt that the soundtrack will top the BB200, their music is so big and may become even bigger with this new release featuring Pink, Kelly Clarkson, and other musicians that is huge right now. But who knows, maybe Mariah's management have something up on their sleeves that will put Caution at #1. However, I will not get mad if Caution will not top the charts, I mean this era is a great era than her last 2 albums already, I will just be happy for her.

New album (84,811)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
So I heard through The Mariah Report that With You is the weakest song from the album based on one of the host who attended the recent listening party. And it will be released on November 16, allegedly. By the way, I'm also obsessed with the hairbrush moment, always puts a smile on my face whenever I watch the video. Have a nice day lambs.

Just appreciate what's left (84,369)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |

Mariah can't really satisfy her fans and it's sad. GTFO and With You are good and the best songs she released since You're Mine. I'm satisfied and happy with what's happening with Mariah right now and I don't need to become negative about everything because she's in good company, healthy and radiant. Don't act like this song is worst than I Don't, Infinity, Infamous, get over with it and move on. She has nothing to prove with anyone anymore, the new songs are good, the promotions are good, the visuals for this era are shaping to be good, I mean all is well and that's good enough for me, hit or flop.

Nervousness (84,028)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
I can understand why Mariah suddenly became nervous on stage. I mean just the fact that she recently admitted that she have bipolar disorder makes sense why. I also think she's aware that her ability declined so it's harder for her to live up with the expectations and there's this other side where she still wants the spotlight, making music, etc. She's unstoppable and confident in the 90's and mid 2000's because she knows that the talent were there 100% backing her up. At the end of the day, if she's nervous then she's nervous, because she's just human and now it is up to us if we will still support her.

The song is good, everything about it just flows. The video is the typical MC we always see in videos but hey, it was done tastefully unlike Infinity and I Don't. I can't criticize it that much because it is the most decent song she released since #Beautiful and it's just a buzz single so I'll just reserve that hate and mean comments with the actual lead single of MC15 haha. Have a nice day everyone.

Good luck Mariah (80,158)
by Malcolm from Asia
| |
|
|
Whatever songs she will sing as long as she will deliver properly, I'm fine. I don't expect her to sing 100% live but I hope she is preparing for this because this is another huge opportunity for her. So prepare those backing tracks (better if she have a new one) and just like what RuPaul says, the time has come for you to lip sync for your life, good luck and don't [censored] it up. I also hope she ask some pointers from Beyonce.
