About Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia: Every Moment I'm Alive Until The End Of Time.

Movie songs (102,036) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Yes I agree. I wish Mariah would do more songs for movies. Below are the songs that she did for movies, or originally supposed to do:
1. Hero - originally for "Hero" film starring Andy Garcia
2. When You Believe - for The Prince of Egypt
3. Glitter album - for that Glitter film
4. 100% - originally for Precious film
5. Mesmerized - originally for The Paperboy film
6. Almost Home - for Oz The Great and Powerful
7. In The Mixed - for that tv show Mixed-Ish
8. The Star - for The Star film

I wish that in 1999 (Rainbow era) Mariah would be chosen and perfect for Bond girl for that James Bond movie, The World Is Not Enough, replacing Denise Richards for Dr Christmas Jones (Christmas? hello Mariah is perfect for that character name heheh) and singing the soundtrack "After Tonight" for the theme song for that movie. The Latin R&B ballad with the touch of Spanish guitar would be sexy for James Bond song in the 90's.

Billboard chart dated 7th January 2023 (101,975) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
For chart dated 7th January 2023, the tracking days that count would be from 23rd December 2022 until 29th December 2022. So those 4 days (23 until 26) generally people are still listening to Christmas music. I hope Mariah would get her 12th week (dated 7 January 2023) and it will make her having a No 1 song for 5 consecutive years (2019-2023). Fingers crossed lambs.

O Holy Night music video (101,967) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
At the end of 2000, Mariah shot a live music video of O Holy Night at a church, the one where she wore the cute red dress. I was thinking, why is this video so random? My theory was maybe the budget and project to shoot the video was originally for Where Are You Christmas (it was the same time the song by Faith was released) and because Mariah didn't get clearance by Sony to release the song so they thought why not just shot a random video for any song from the Christmas album. I guess they picked O Holy Night because that's the only single that didn't have any official video and later they released it in Japan for the album's limited edition in 2000. Maybe the original plan was to make Where Are You Christmas as bonus track for the re-release Merry Christmas album back then. Such a waste of opportunity and a hit song by Mariah.

Walter A. sold his rights (101,949) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
For those who don't know, Walter sold his rights to a company named Hipgnosis a couple of years back. Meaning that he was paid loads of money, one off, and that's it. All other annual earnings or royalties would go to the company and Mariah. From what I've read, other singers like Justin Timberlake, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen also sold all their catalogues. I hope Mariah would hold dear all her catalogues and soon pass it down to her children.

Oh Santa with Ari & J Hud (101,737) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
in Jennifer Hudson talk show, they showed one photo of behind the scene of Mariah and Jennifer during the filming of the video. I guess they were really together at the time.

Mariah's own big budget Christmas movie (101,597) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Now that Mariah has cemented her name and brand for Christmas season (#1 song, books, legacy) don't you guys think Mariah should invest in her own big budget blockbuster Christmas movie, the movie where people would tune in to every Christmas, like Home Alone, Love Actually, The Grinch. I'm not talking about that low budget Hallmark movie, Christmas Melody, that Mariah acted and produced, I want a big budget movie where Mariah and A-list actor as romantic interest, maybe Dwayne, Ryan Reynolds etc.

Why can't her videos be like that It's Time promo (101,584) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
It doesn't have to be a big budget multi millions to produce an interesting official videos. It just needs a concept or a theme. Just like that It's Time promo. Imagine how it would turn out if videos for Caution, A No No using the same creativity. Mariah always claim that she's a funny person, so why can't she incorporates her personality into her videos. Touch My Body, Heartbreaker, Honey are proof that funny concept videos works. But she always end up with videos of her touching herself, Save The Day, I Don't, Infinity, Infamous, With You, GTFO.

Alternative playlist (no #1's or #2's) edition (101,576) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I want her to sing all the inspirational songs. Had enough of all the love songs and the number one songs. She can also perform certain songs with a church choir to back her up. This is my wishlist/setlist:
1. Make It Happen
2. Through The Rain
3. Can't Take That Away
4. Right To Dream
5. Fly Like A Bird
6. I Pray
7. Save The Day
8. 100%
9. Anytime You Need A Friend
10. Hero

Heartbreakers video (101,501) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I always thought that the 2.5 million budget for Heartbreaker's video is including the Heartbreaker Remix video. That’s why it was expensive because it involves two productions (original and remix). I could be wrong though.

Piano intro We Belong Together - Global Citizen (101,312) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
That's how Mariah should be doing more often. Just sing with a piano or acoustic guitar. She doesn't have to sing like the record, just rearrange the song into acoustic/piano version and keep it simple.

Re: Bye Bye (101,306) (101,309) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I always loved that song. My grandmother passed away in 2007. So when the song was released in 2008 I can relate to the lyrics "this is for my people who lost their grandmothers". In my mind that song is Mariah's 19th number one followed by #Beautiful, her 20th, and All I Want For Christmas For You, her 21st number one. She beat the Beatles' record for having the most number one singles. Hehe.

Release Honey music video in that color (101,273) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Those who watched the Honey documentary can see the original color of the music video, which is very vibrant instead of that yellow tone that they filtered on the music video. So why not it's about time that they release an alternate music video with the original color/tone that they filmed. It can be a gift to the fans and newer fans. It can also generate more views.

Re: Breakdown rediscovered (101,264) (101,265) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Yes I agree. Breakdown should be released as single, right after My All. Mariah should perform Breakdown at:
1. Soul Train Lady Of Soul Awards, instead of performing that My All/Stay Awhile. My All was already number one at that time so no point of performing that song. Such a waste, in my opinion.
2. Video Music Awards, the one where she attended and presented with the late Whitney. Imagine Mariah wearing the cowboy hat and black leather pants as in the video for the performance. Or she can just wear the sexy pole dancer black outfit. Whatever she likes.

Those two performances from two major awards show should guarantee a hit song for Breakdown.

If Butterfly single was released (101,240) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Everyone knows that the song was not commercially released as single and that's the reason why the song didn't eligible to chart on Billboard Hot 100 (the rule at that time). So my question is, if the song was released, will it reach number one. At that particular time the song by Elton John for the late Princess Diana was very strong on the radio and charts and it reached number one for 14 weeks from October 1997 until January 1998. That was the window period for Butterfly to be released as single. So maybe, just maybe, Butterfly woud only end up at number 2, or who knows, maybe Butterfly would be the song that block Elton John's song from reaching number one. Or both songs could have their fair share at number one.

I hope Last Chance is one of the eight bonus track (101,199) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I really really hope Last Chance would be one of the eight bonus tracks. Imagine Mariah singing the song with Whenever You Call or My All voice. Wow.

I wish for Butterfly: unplugged for Butterfly 25 (101,171) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Mariah said on her twitter that one more week before the anniversary of Butterfly. So I wish Mariah would post an unplugged performance from her house or studio or wherever for all the songs from the album.

Re: Best breakup album: Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (100,878) (100,888) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
Mariah and Derek met again, after their break up, at Sean Diddy's birthday party in the end of 1998. The one where Mariah wore red dress. However, I read before that Mariah and Derek did meet again in a club in 2001 after Mariah's infamous breakdown. I guess that's where the inspiration for Lullaby came from.

"Hey boy, what's going on"
"Thanks I'm doing okay"
"Don't believe rumors hey"
"How's your family, please say hello for me"
"Guess we've both grown up a bit"
"But I have to admit"

I wonder why Mariah and Derek didn't pursue their relationship again after they met. It could have been a different adventure (or emancipation) for her album in 2002/2003.

Re: #Butterfly25 (100,858) (100,874) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
What I wish for:
1. Last Chance (I always have a feeling that this song is for Butterfly album but she gave it away to Allure)
2. Honey live at Top Of The Pop on her YouTube channel.
3. Saturday Night Live performances of Butterfly and My All on her YouTube channel.
4. Butterfly live at David Letterman on her YouTube channel.
5. My All and Close My Eyes at Rosie Show on her YouTube channel.
6. Tokyo Dome 1998 concert on her YouTube channel.
7. Unreleased Butterfly tour concert.
8. Behind the scenes of all the music videos from Butterfly album.
9. Butterfly unplugged/acoustic intimate concert. Just Mariah and a piano/guitar. 5 to 7 songs from Butterfly album. Post it on her YouTube channel.
10. My All from Wango 1998 (the Hero performance was released before but very short, so definitely My All was recorded too)

Reach For The Sky is Fly Like A Bird (100,833) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
We all heard about the song Reach For The Sky that never made it to the final cut of Charmbracelet. I read back in the day that Mariah said in an interview that Reach For The Sky is very soulful with orchestra music and live instrumentation in the same vein with Subtle Invitation and There Goes My Heart. So I always have a feeling that maybe, just maybe, Reach For The Sky is actually Fly Like A Bird. Mariah changed and reworked the lyrics. In the chorus, "fly like a bird, take to the sky" maybe the original lyrics is "fly like a bird, reach for the sky", something like that. Maybe I'm wrong. But who knows. I hope Mariah or someone from her team can adress it.

Re: What sank Charmbracelet? (100,807) (100,815) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
This is my opinion on the reasons why the album sank:
1. The whisper vocals. This album is supposed to be her redemption album after the debacle Glitter era. Why on earth would she go for the whisper route. Just sing and showcase her voice on all the songs.
2. The belting is thin and filtered. Even though she belt certain songs on the album at the end of the songs (Through The Rain, My Saving Grace) but the belting had no ummph because it is so thin. She should do it like Circles, where it the vocals is raw and the belt is thick.
3. Wrong singles choices. She didn't have to go for ballad as first single. Nobody wants to hear a sad song as the opening song for your album. Make it happy and positive. Go for uptempo song, You Got Me. And make the video sweet and happy like at the basketball court where Mariah falls in love with the player. She was at the time wearing a Michael Jordan jersey where she turned it into a cute outift.
4. The album cover. It's so copycat of the Daydream cover, but with colors. She should pick the white dress where she lying down on the grass. It will grab attention.
5. The album title. Name the album as Sunflower.

What if Hero was given to Gloria Estefan (100,459) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I'm just bored, so while listening to Music Box, I was thinking what if Hero was given to Gloria Estefan, what song would Sony or Tommy/Mariah would release as second single after Dreamlover? I would pick All I've Ever Wanted or Never Forget You. Imagine Mariah singing live for All I've Ever Wanted especially the bridge and the final chorus. Just wow. Maybe Everything Fades Away or Do You Think Of Me would be chosen to be included in the regular album version (because they lack one song after Hero was given out).

Re: MC's catalogue (100,374) (100,381) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I think Mariah would never sell her music. I believe I read somewhere (either in her memoirs or in interviews) that she said about some company wanted to buy Alone In Love in the 80's to be featured in a movie soundtrack but she refused and said no. The best is to let Mariah's children to to inherit the catalogue and later passed on to their next generation. They don't have to work anymore, just milk the catalogue for movie soundtracks, jingles, remixes etc.
