Mariah's evergreens (36,811) by TJ from Norway I don't think all of Mariah's #1s has the evergreen status as mention earlier. In my opinion there are just a few. I guess maybe Fantasy, Hero and I'll Be There are evergreens. All I Want For Christmas and Without You are evergreens (in Europe). No one can tell me that Touch My Body, Don't Forget About Us, Heartbreaker, Someday, Emotions, Thank God I Found You (and so many more) are evergreens. Videos (36,618) by TJ from Norway I agree with you guys about her videos. They have been reduced to almost nothing. The same pose, the same move. I love "It's like that" and "WBT", "The roof", "Butterfly" and "Breakdown" because they were professional made. Lately it's just "look at me, I am so sexy and I look like I'm 25". The Bodyguard went to the cinemas in 1992 and yes, "I will always love you" is a huge hit. Whitney didn't have that many pop or RnB hits after that song. She had more hits before that release. I never said that Rihanna has sold more albums than Mariah, but she has had more number ones than Mariah in the 00's. If you take a quick google search on Rihanna "official charts company" claims that Rihanna has sold 20 million albums (6 million) and singles (14 million) in the UK alone. I don't know if it's true, but I know that Rihanna has been really "big" in most of Europe and USA since she first entered the charts. (Wednesday 10 October 2012; 21:55)

I believe Mariah is way bigger than Rihanna, but Rihanna is more popular at the moment. She has had more hits in the 2000's than Mariah. (Monday 8 October 2012; 23:02)

Lee (36,457) by TJ from Norway I know Madonna did a lot of things in the 90's, but to say she was not a legend back in 97 is strange to me. Madonna was and still is a legend in music, just as Mariah. Carla (36,444) by TJ from Norway Mariah was disrespectful to Madonna back in 1997 in a TV interview. For me, it's important to understand that no one is perfect. We all have our faults, and sometimes we say or do things we are not proud of. I couldn't care less about this "feud" between MC and Nicki, except that I find it strange that she has hired more security because of the situation. I really hope that is just a rumor. Duets (36,241) by TJ from Norway She should make a duet with me, that would be a huge hit , and for real duets, I think that Celine, Alicia, Madonna, Barbra, Shakira (they look the same at times), Prince, Beyonce, Emeli Sande, Rihanna, Stevie W, Elton John and Lionel R would be great. My collection (36,185) by TJ from Norway My first album was "Mariah Carey" and the next one was MTV Unplugged. It was with the release of Dreamlover that I startet collecting Mariah's singles and albums. For years I was sad about the fact that I didn't start to buy her singles in 1990. The Vision of Love cover picture was not like the one they released in the States. I remember I was looking at it in Denmark back in 1990, but I didn't buy it. I heard someone say that Triumphant is going to be released in Germany next month. Anyone who knows something about that? I'm in Germany in the end of next month and need a new single in my collection. (Tuesday 28 August 2012; 18:40)

Re: The album or song (36,184) by TJ from Norway My first Mariah moment was Vision of Love on TV in 1990. Been a fan since that moment. My best friend told me that NO ONE would remember Mariah Carey, and that she was a one hit wonder. Lol. She was so wrong. Some other friends told me that Mariah was a man, because she had this huge (7 octaves was the rumor at that time) range. Others told me that she could not sing live, or that she was 3 feet tall and so on. I have been a fan in a world of haters. in 1994 a neighbour was yelling at me because I played Without You on repeat the whole saturday morning (from 8am to 10 am) really loud on my stereo. hehe. She didn't live the house next door, I think it was at least 5 houses and gardens between us. Hehe. I was a "crazy fan" in the 90's. Fortunately I grew up. (Tuesday 28 August 2012; 18:20)

Stacey (36,113) by TJ from Norway I couldn't agree more. It's like that in her live performances as well. I was watching the good old "Here is Mariah Carey" when she sang Without You. She even carried her own microphone stand on stage. She didn't care if she made facial expressions while singing at that point of her career. She walked (stairs ), sang and was more natural on the stage. Today she is always on these high heals and need help to get around. I do love her music, and I always defend her in discussions with friends, but sometimes it's hard to defend her choice to look like a Barbie doll. (Saturday 25 August 2012; 10:50)
