Mariah's insta story (95,604) by Bill from the UK
Okay so Mariah uploaded a clip on her Insta story for Out Here On My Own showing the master tape sleeve. There's a song called "So, it's just the way", which I assume ended up being "Want You", but there are also two redacted tracks. Mariah this is cruel lol. If there is more songs from Glitter please put them out. Especially the rumoured Prince duet.

I loved the snippet, but the full version is absolutely beautiful. How has this been locked up for 20 years? It is beyond belief. Mariah sings it wonderfully, such passion. Was this meant for Glitter do we think? This would have been an incredible album closer if it was.

I can't tell if you're genuinely being nice or making fun of me.

Oh wow, so she did. Excellent. I can't believe the memoir is so close now. I've actually booked time off work to read it and listen to the new album haha. I am beyond excited.

Really? Where did you hear this? What about my Rainbow EPs?

I hear the London date was particularly good.

Re: A list, for Bill (95,562) (95,565) by Bill from the UK
Actually reading my list, Loverboy was another good "back of car" video now I think of it.

Re: A list, for Bill (95,559) (95,562) by Bill from the UK
Yay thank you. In no particular order:

1. The Roof
2. Emotions
3. Can't Let Go
4. Make It Happen
5. Loverboy
6. Breakdown
7. All I Want for Christmas Is You (1994 and 2019 colour home footage versions)
8. Fantasy
9. Honey
10. Heartbreaker

Honourable mention: Touch My Body, Always Be My Baby, Dreamlover, Anytime You Need a Friend, Vision of Love

Re: Tokyo Dome concert (95,551) (95,552) by Bill from the UK
Far be for me to rain on the parade, but the Tokyo Dome concert is pretty much the album versions of the songs lowered a couple of semitones and lip synced. Without You, Forever, Always Be My Baby, One Sweet Day etc. This is why I would have rather one of the European legs be released on audio instead. But beggars can't be choosers as they say.

Re: Bill, in the backseat (95,549) (95,550) by Bill from the UK
Okay yes you're right. How could I forget about The Roof. It is quite possibly her best ever video in fact. I stand corrected.

TMOM unboxing (95,547) by Bill from the UK
Mariah has uploaded a video of her unboxing the memoir. Love the back image and wish that had been the front picture.

Re: Through The Rain cover (95,532) (95,536) by Bill from the UK
This is almost as terrible as the So So Def Remix of Say Somethin'. Anyone know who was featured on that?

Here We Go Around Again (95,530) by Bill from the UK
For those who don't mind being spoiled ahead of the album release, MC posted a longer clip of Here We Go Around Again on Insta. Honestly, hearing fresh 1990/debut era vocals is just astounding. From what I've heard this song sounds so, so good.

Re: Save the Day (95,525) (95,528) by Bill from the UK
The only backseat of car video worth watching is Emotions.

Re: The Rarities tracklist (95,522) (95,523) by Bill from the UK
My sentiments exactly. What bright spark at Sony selected the album versions of Breakdown and Sweetheart when perfectly the good Mo Thugs and Story remixes were available is beyond me. And Crybaby should have been kicked off for I Still Believe/Pure Imagination. But who am I?

Re: Glitter (95,509) (95,518) by Bill from the UK
I was thinking the same. My theory is when she recently acquired the rights, maybe it was for digital/streaming only? Maybe she didn't obtain the rights to distribute a physical version? It's a shame because a bright pink double vinyl for Glitter would have ruled haha.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey reveals the tracklist of "The Rarities" (95,499) (95,504) by Bill from the UK
It's on her Insta, so it is. Fire the proof reader I guess. I noticed all that too and things like that really, really get to me.

Best introspective song (95,503) by Bill from the UK
Since very early on, Mariah has often graced her albums with beautifully poignant, introspective songs. Often sung softly and delicately. The Wind, Looking In, Petals, Sunflowers, Languishing, Camouflage, and Portrait. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting (finishing the rest of that bottle of wine from my previous post).

Have you a favourite? I was listening to Portrait today and the opening really struck me. Where do I go from here? How do I disappear? These lyrics are heartbreaking. For me, I take it to be a reflection on the embarrassment of The Nightmare Era and Mariah's World and Packer and all that nonsense that was going on back then. Imagine being Mariah. Never having any privacy. Having everything you do scrutinised. Your relationships documented in news articles.

How do I disappear? She never will. This is what is so upsetting about this song.

How interesting (95,494) by Bill from the UK
I went back to an article posted in 2013 with the tracklisting of "The Art of Letting Go" (original iteration of Me I Am Mariah). How interesting to see Save the Day as the final track. Tracks 1-4 ended up on MIAM, she's mentioned Hope Street in interviews. I'm dubious about the other tracks listed, especially the duet with Stevie produced by Walter. I doubt that ever happened. Why would you shelve a duet with Stevie (when he contributed harmonica to Make It Look Good)? And no way would she have let Walter near the track to produce it. But it is interesting how much of this rumoured tracklisting ended up being genuine.

Harumph (95,491) by Bill from the UK
I was a bit perturbed to not be greeted with some Rainbow era EPs this morning. I know Mariah went nuclear this week with the vinyl re-issues, so I guess that was this week's gift for us (well, £500 expense lol). Plus Heartbreaker, Thank God I Found You and Mariah's Theme already have remix singles available to stream (in the UK at least), so I guess it doesn't really matter. But it does.

Re: Negative Nancy (95,484) (95,490) by Bill from the UK
The only previously available tracks are Do You Think of Me, Everything Fades Away and Slipping Away. Literally everything else is new or unreleased before on the first disc.

Here We Go Around Again has my heart. Those 9 seconds are just out of this world. 1990 Mariah. I mean good God.
