About Haiji Toro from USA:
• I have been a fan/lamb of her music since "Vision of Love" (Apollo). • Favorite Mariah song is "Love Takes Time". I love the live version. • Favorite Mariah album is Butterfly. I was 16 and in a tough time in my life. The song "Outside" had a great impact in my life. It opened my eyes to life. It felt relieving to hear words I've already known so well, and someone actually understood how I felt. Overall, the entire album is flawless, in my opinion. • Favorite Mariah movie gotta be Glitter. I'm an 80's baby, so no diss, but I'm used to the corny dialogue and inexperienced acting. That movie definitely gave me a throwback vibe. It was very entertaining though and the soundtrack is very underrated.
•I'm Colombian & Palestinian, raised in the USA. •I think I'm Mariah when in the shower. •Spiritual, one of those "I love everyone", type of guy.

Greatest Hits and B (67,139) (67,180)
by Haiji Toro from USA
| |

|
I wouldn't mind another greatest hits from her but I'd say switch up the standard format. There should be some sort of theme with the tracklisting. Maybe start off of course with "Vision of Love" and continue it with the "love" theme with the songs following. Then, maybe "heartbreak" theme. Following with coming out of heartbreak into "inspirational". Ending it in upbeat dance cuts with AIWFCIY to conclude the album. Btw B, I'm really sorry to hear about the fire. I collected CD's when I was younger and have all Mariah's albums and the majority of her singles except for her debut singles. If you're interested, I'd like to give you the singles I have of hers. I can't promise they're in the best condition due to many times replayed over the years lol. I've never experienced what you may have with the fire but I can imagine how pissed off and sad I'd be if I was to lose anything that valuable to me in that way. So if you would like them, you can message me at haijitoro@yahoo.com for further info.

Awesome question. I would call it "Inflammation (Side Effects pt.2)" featuring Stella in the background dropping "F" bombs on the bass line.

Thank you RibbonB. The reason I asked was because of this. I'm a bit confused at the caption.

Can someone please tell me who all took part in the production of this song? I'm asking because I've been hearing that Bryan Michael Cox was part of it, but now I'm hearing that it's Big Jim Wright. What's the real deal?

New song (66,701)
by Haiji Toro from USA
| |
|
|
There are many songs in our lifetime to which we feel should be a hit and well known. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work that way. There can be many reasons to why it doesn't. Sometimes it's due to not enough promotion among other reasons. Let's say this new Empire song is truly amazing. It might even be well received. But let's be real, nowadays, Mariah's name and voice isn't enough to push a song up the charts on its own. She's gonna need some real heavy promotion. Take as an example, her song #Beautiful. It's a great song in all, but I felt should have been at least in the top 5 and should have had a solo version. I also think that it might not have even done that well if Miguel wasn't on it, but that's just my opinion. So anyways, whether it's "Infamous" or an actual album first single, I believe if we as fans/lambs truly want or even care to see her back on top, we should take it upon ourselves and promote the hell out of this song. There are a good few that post daily on this message board and that's not even counting those whom read the posts daily. We all have multiple social outlets of some sort. It wouldn't hurt to copy, paste and share on a daily as we do on here. Stream, stream, stream. You don't even have to listen to it directly, just have it playing in the background. Call your radio stations, request it. Maybe there's a way to request it online to the stations as well. I really believe that she needs our help. Our girl isn't as relevant for her present music like before. I really hope I'm not wasting my time with this post. It's worth a try. We put so much time and effort into taking selfies of our filtered mugs and sometimes even what we eat. We post and share them on a daily, I'm sure we can put less effort into helping her out. Maybe another #1 is all she needs to turn that light on she once had and motivate her to make an amazing album.

I'm running on 2 hours of sleep lol, I do realize that I mistakenly named "Against All Odds (Take a Look at me Now)" by the wrong title, for those who have a pet peeve about song titles. I'm actually embarrassed, coming from a day 1 fan/lamb.

It's funny I didn't even think of that, but yes you're right, they do fit together. I was struggling to make "You're Mine" lyrics fit the "We Belong Together" instrumental lol. I couldn't even finish, it sounded terrible. I ended up mixing "Take a Look at Me Now" with "Right to Dream". Let me know what you think.

If you were to take the full lyrics to any of Mariah's songs and put them to another song (instrumental) of hers, what two songs would you choose? I know it's a random, maybe odd question, but I'd love to hear what you guys can come with.

You're funny, minus the f and the unny. Rap isn't a preference in music for me, at least not nowaday's rap, but the concept of the show is great. Taking kids out of the streets and giving them the opportunity to do something they enjoy and also motivate and teaching them to work hard for what they want in life, is never a bad idea. Along with JD, Queen Latifah is executive producer of the show, another legend and great mentor. These kids do write their own lyrics btw.

Aw thank you Mimi L. Your words are appreciated as well. I'd love for Mariah to continue her songs with inspirational messages. She needs an empowering hit. I'm not sure if you also checked out my other videos I made posted on my YouTube page. I've worked on 3 videos in total and all 3 songs have a message. Hope you enjoy them as well.

I appreciate the love and compliment, Mara. I do agree with you, which is why I barely had shots of her in the video. I wanted to tell a story and it was really hard to find recent clips of her in other videos that would fit the topic. Thank you once again.

World premiere (66,171)

Ok, so I play around with some editing sometimes and recently I've been practicing with a certain type of songs. Anyone that knows me, or follows me on social media, know that I'm all about discussing world issues and empowerment. I love to help people and try to motivate as much as possible. So far I've worked on 3 videos in these past 10 days. I just finished my 3rd and uploaded it. This is a song that was never released nor had a video for it, so I put my spin on it. I'm not a professional btw. Hope you guys enjoy it. I'd love for any feedback.

Couldn't have said it any better RibbonB. Family and children are definitely an important aspect in any situation. And yes, I had to go there lol. Had to throw some laughs up in here for those that have a good sense of humor and can take a joke. Opinions and disagreements can be in many different colors, so why chose the darkest and shadiest ones.

Mix-up (66,095)
by Haiji Toro from USA
| |
|

Ok, I think that figured it out. What if the cloning department accidentally mixed up the whole process and this is what we got? I'm swear there must be some fully dressed woman out there, hitting those high notes in her movies. Remember her? Either that happened or maybe it was when I asked on this board what movie role would you guys like to see Mariah act in and since Giovanni was the only one to answer, somehow he spoke it into existence lol. Ok, I really need to stop, I'm just joking with all of this. I really love Mariah. I'm one to cover up and not show any body parts, but that's because I'm very self-concious, and I'm a guy. I'm not into tacky nude selfish either, but I personally don't care if she does these things or not. It doesn't affect me. What does affect me is her music and that's what I'm waiting for. All this other nonsense she's coming out with is just redundant. I give her props for feeling herself though.

Thanks RJJ12, you're sweet. I've never seen that interview. I wish she had more to say though. I just think the guy interviewing her kind of ruined the question by inputting his own negative and unnecessary opinion, when it was really wasn't needed. I've noticed that the media will definitely fuel a fire just for the drama. It's such a shame that if they were gonna speak about another artist, instead of putting them against each other, they should just give room for someone's own opinion. This is one of the major problems we have in the music industry. Why does every artist need to rival each other and not be great in their own way?
