About Haiji Toro from USA:
• I have been a fan/lamb of her music since "Vision of Love" (Apollo). • Favorite Mariah song is "Love Takes Time". I love the live version. • Favorite Mariah album is Butterfly. I was 16 and in a tough time in my life. The song "Outside" had a great impact in my life. It opened my eyes to life. It felt relieving to hear words I've already known so well, and someone actually understood how I felt. Overall, the entire album is flawless, in my opinion. • Favorite Mariah movie gotta be Glitter. I'm an 80's baby, so no diss, but I'm used to the corny dialogue and inexperienced acting. That movie definitely gave me a throwback vibe. It was very entertaining though and the soundtrack is very underrated.
•I'm Colombian & Palestinian, raised in the USA. •I think I'm Mariah when in the shower. •Spiritual, one of those "I love everyone", type of guy.

Your welcome Marissa. Thank you for the reply. I haven't signed the petition just yet because I wanna be able to get my thoughts together and write a little something as well, but I'm on break at work at the moment, so I will be doing that later tonight. I think you did a wonderful job overall with the petition, thank you for that. I pray it works.

It's all good RibbonB, I still appreciate the reply. I always imagined that when I become wealthy enough, I'd have some type of Mariah-related party and would invite all the lambs of the land. So hopefully when that day comes, you will be present, along with everyone else on this board. Thank Mimi L. for the reply as well. I appreciate you.

I'm not sure Kris would be a good option. I could be wrong, but he seems real close to Stella. I thought RaeRae and Mariah didn't speak anymore. Does anyone know about any future radio interviews? Maybe if we reached out to those radio stations before they interview her, we can discuss our issues and have them bring it up to her. I have to speak about the "stockings/bruises" situation. I honestly don't care about her fashion sense, we all have past outfits that wish we didn't wear lol. Fashion changes like our underwear haha. I'll be first to admit, I am one of those "conspiracy theorists" but not the pushy type. I search for info on my own and to each is own, but I do think something more is happening to Mariah behind the scenes that is out of her control.

Just a thought, I think reaching out to someone that is close to Mariah, but not to Stella. Someone she confides in and vise-versa. Someone she respects and will listen to. Someone that was there before Stella and is still around her. Lee Daniels? Trey Lorenz? Oprah? The title should be clever and eye-catching, maybe something like "Vision of Lambs", describing what we see and how we feel.

Um, let's see, the best thing, in my opinion, from this 2015-16 MC era would have to be (thinking about the music, movies, interviews, fashion, personality) I'd have to say, the fact that she's still alive. It gives me hope for a better era for the coming year(s). Sorry, that's the only thing I like, nothing else honestly. Guys I'm kidding lol. I'd say the best thing is her new stage confidence and the reworking of some of her songs in concert.

Wow, my apologies. I haven't slept since yesterday. Been working on so many things. This whole time I thought I added the link lol. I do agree with you btw. I'd rather get surprised than to have all those teasers and get my hopes up. It kind of causes expectations, which I shouldn't do to begin with anyways. Here's the link.

Mariah on Mario Lopez (63,714)
by Haiji Toro from USA
| |
|
|
I just discovered this radio interview from earlier this month, I believe June 8th, to be exact. Maybe I'm just behind but has anyone heard it yet? Not too give anything away to those that haven't heard it, but she did mention not wanting to disclose any info on her 3 movies for Hallmark because of fear of anyone stealing ideas. Could this be the reason, as well, to not saying anything about her music? She did mention working with new producers but she hasn't name-dropped anyone yet. Hope this is the case and she has something already in the works for us real soon.

Lol it's all good RibbonB. I assumed either you wrote that in the dark with very little light or in a rush, or even could've been drunk haha. Overall, I understood what you meant. I do love that song by James Bay. Although it is very soon, it's not like she hasn't remade or sampled a song right after release ("Boy" from Charmbracelet sampled Dipset's "Oh Boy" very heavily). I'd love a collaboration between the two. She seems to rather work with male musicians more. I'm curious to know if you have heard "Out on a Limb" yet. I'm sure you'll like it if you enjoy 80's R&B/Soul.

Out on a limb (63,621)
by Haiji Toro from USA
| |
|
|
RibbonB, I like your idea about her singing "I Can't Make You Love Me". She would definitely make it justice. I've personally, always wanted her to remake "Out On a Limb" by Teena Marie. I grew up with this song being a favorite. Although I respect Teena's artistry, and enjoy her music, I seemed to get annoyed when she'd try to sing it live. I just never felt the same emotion I used to feel from listening to it on wax. But anyways, Mariah usually adds one cover song on every album (two on MIAMTEC), what song do you guys think she should cover on her next album?

Thank you Andrew. Very true and kind words. Unfortunately, two of my friends were victims and in critical condition at the moment. Our prayers have been going out for them and their families, as well as the rest of the victims. Maybe I'm being too dramatic, but this indeed, is a huge deal in our community. Regardless if it was an act of terror or just simply hate, we should not have to now live in fear of getting killed just for being who we are. I thought we've come a long way and now this. And it truly sucks that instead of paying attention to what really is going on, the media keeps focusing on the election. Why am I seeing the faces of Trump, Clinton and Obama on every channel and not the families of those killed or maybe some tribute to their lives. I get that these people are the faces of this country, so no disrespect, but can we focus on what's more important please? And just to add, I am saddened that out of all celebrities, especially the ones that have a clip or pics out every day, showing everything from t*ts to shade, hasn't even shown one second of anything regarding the Orlando shooting. So disappointing, Mariah.

Orlando shooting (63,275)
by Haiji Toro from USA
| |
|
|
I know this is unrelated to Mariah, but I'm just waking up to this news. For those that haven't heard, I'm sure you'll hear about it on the news. 20 people have been killed at an Orlando gay club. Only the killer's name has been released, not yet confirmed if this was an "extrimist attack". My heart is so saddened by this news. I'm only an hour away and have many friends that live in Orlando that happen to go to that club weekly. My prayers truly go out to the victim's families, as well as my prayers are hoping that no one I knew attended. The craziness in this world has to stop. We should not have to live in fear and wonder if just being at the wrong place and wrong time, will be the end of us. I apologize for this rant, especially so early in the day. I just feel so helpless right now.

It's nice to see [...] back on here, Ian. Unfortunately, I agree with you. I've never thought Mariah one to get high like that, but on certain occasions her behind the scene clips show her in that type of light. I could be wrong, but coming from someone that has used different "stuff" to get high, in my past, I noticed certain attributes. I guess it's her business if she does or not, but that can't be good for her voice. There are many Mariah moments just playing around and acting diva-ish, and there are moments like these. Notice she's oddly different after the 30 second mark. I'm not sure it's "mary" that she's on. And they're moments like these that "mary" was most likely in play. Her then back-up dancer definitely look high at the 3 minute mark. I'm not here bashing, just making an observation. I hope that I'm wrong though.

You both (Andrew and Mimi L) make a real good point. I can see how it may come across as jealousy. I think the fact that this stuff is even taking place in Mariah's life is so upsetting, I too, would sound some sort of jealous, but I get it. We're almost like that mother that babies her youngest so much, to the point that we see no wrong in them, but blame others for their mistakes. Unfortunately, she's a grown woman with full control of her own life. Stella is merely a voice in her head at the moment. As Andrew stated, this docu-series is the make or break, but I as well doubt she will resign or even get fired. It seems like they're having too much fun to care about anything, or even take things so serious. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually she ends up choosing her friendship over James. Because you know he's gonna get tired of it. I don't doubt that Mariah once felt love for him, but maybe Stella introduced to her a new plan. They get married, let him get tired of you so he'd want a divorce, you be the victim, he feels bad, gives him a nice portion of his money, everybody wins type of plan. I guess I could be over-thinking it, but who knows? I really hope that's not the case.

I agree. When exactly is it OK to voice our own opinions? This is exactly the type of thing we as people have to deal with in this world. We are forced to continuously search for a place where we can feel accepted and not criticized for own opinions and way of living. I don't see why is it so hard to just ignore something we don't agree with or even just understand? I myself don't agree or even get how some of you think, but who am I to judge? I love to see the many different opinions and ways of thinking. Sometimes my ignorance can be adjusted by other's information from their opinions. I always look forward to reading what Andrew or Mimi L has to say. Andrew's post sometimes makes me feel like I just went to church with all his preaching some truth while still entertained. He's great with words. Yet, Mimi L's sweetness and respect to others leaks through her words. Her posts are very informative and on point. I always look to the next pics she posts. And then we have TRUTH, who surprisingly, appears to be an Eminem fan but always posts about Mariah in different light. Sometimes positive, sometimes negative, but always staying true to his politics, regardless if agree or not. This message board is one of the places I go to when I feel like I need to be around people that would accept me, unlike the outside world full of hate, ignorance and prejudices. We all have one common denominator, Mariah's music. Let's not ruin that for the very few fans left.

TRUTH, I didn't know Nickelodeon was part of all that mess. I thought it was mainly Disney. I can see what you mean though, I thought about Stella being the introducer. I really do hope Mariah stays clear from all that, otherwise the "lambs" will have to be renamed to "sheep".
