About Mara from United States: I'm a Mariah fan since the debut. Been through her entire career with her and may not always agree with every single thing she does, But i will always come to her defense when she gets attacked for being misunderstood. I am not a blind fan and relate Mariah to a sister who I would tell in a minute if something seems wrong or something of that nature. I come to this board to discuss her with people who I feel are true fans and yes, some don't always praise her to the heavens every single moment but we all are here for the same reason and we do adore her.

Can't Let Go (80,788) by Mara from United States
Was in an "Emotions" mood today and was listening again to one of my favorite Mariah songs ever "Can't Let Go". That song is so melodically beautiful and moody with her whistle placements to the George Michael like organ introduction to the deliverance of the bridge and how you can really feel what she is saying. I really don't know why Mariah pays this song no attention. I would be totally happy if she replaced VOL or My All for her "vocal performance" song of the night on tour in the future, not permanently but for a few dates or whatever. I think she can handle this song with her current voice and really make it come across well. It would be standout because even if there are actual people that don't recognize the song, the song is so beautiful that it speaks for itself and would stand out. I remember watching Mariah perform this song on live TV and she used to do this little sway with her hips and her hands would go and she couldn't help herself. I miss that little thing she used to do when she sang live. It just came out. Anyone know what I am talking about? Every CLG performance she did this. Then the mighty end with the head thrown back after the last note ending with that smile. Pure class act. There is nobody like her.

Studio (80,512) by Mara from United States
I have to agree that the famous studio pic doesn't excite me all that much. (Especially the wine MC, where is your tea and honey?) Of course, if this is it and she was in there recording a complete body of work and doing her signature layers now, I would be ecstatic. The problem is, I have a feeling she is starting over too and scratching whatever if any material she had before as she wants to be in the moment now and start new, so if that is where she is, we are in for another long process. I also wish she would save the studio pics, go under the radar and just, bang with a new single and be ready. It's hard not knowing where she is in her creative process, but let's hope this time she records an album all in the same voice. MIAM while a great album, had a choppy feel with her vocals in Beautiful, Cry, to Supernatural, OMT, BGK. You can tell she recorded it in between long stretches and MC's voice is too delicate to go months. So I kinda do feel that she has a better ethic now and basing off of how things are going and she looks amazing and I do think she is ready. MIAM she was going through a bad time. One thing I am grateful of though, she never had an album under Stella.

Re: So long, Dolores (80,435) (80,436) by Mara from United States
She was definitely another part of my growing up in the 90's as my alternative to Mariah. Zombie and Linger bring back so many memories, such a memorable voice. Very sad indeed.

Do we know when this is happening or any update on it? I love that M is truly getting this love from the industry and respect she so deserves and always wanted. I pray she looks classy and beautiful on the runway and keeps the Golden Globes restrained so to speak. I am loving what this Lorenzo is doing with her hair. It's the best it has looked in a long time. I wonder if he still works with Lopez since M is a client.

Re: NYE (80,220) (80,222) by Mara from United States
Andrew, Drew baby. Please don't be tryin' to be our MCA Grinch who stole our Christmas here. We are all in unison and the world is loving the redemption of Mimi. The courage she showed getting up there, knowing it was make or break was everything. She literally owes us nothing and already redeemed herself with how flawless the end of 2017 has become. Not saying it was, but even if the climax was lipped, did it matter? My teeth were shattering being in the cold to get into a car, let alone try and sing in weather that was single digits record breaking (second lowest NYE temp) and wind chill well below zero, all that and look beautiful doing it. Gotta give credit where credit is due and she deserves a hell of a lot of credit. Amazing how in every photo posted by the media, she looks flawless in every single one. That is a testament to her beauty. On a side note, I wonder if we will hear from Tommy? I'm sure she wanted to prove to him even though she already has, but I'm sure part of her wanted to send him a message too that she is better than last year. She has done it.

NYE (80,217) by Mara from United States
First off, can we appreciate the beauty that is Mariah Carey? Wow, she looked incredible. Her hair was amazing and she was glowing. This woman is 47 years old and literally looks in her early 30's. Also, wasn't it me or did she come on a little earlier than the 11:45 spot? I missed her introduction as I stepped away from the TV for a moment and boom I hear "treated me kind". I think the dryness def comes along with the frigid temp. VOL wasn't perfect, and her nerves were in full gear with that one in particular. I sensed how nervous she was when addressing the crowd about the tea. Hero, OK Mariah, you certainly shut all of us up. She knew what she should perform and Hero is one that in recent years I totally feel she sings to herself anymore, despite writing it with someone else in mind singing it. Her eyes were welling up at the end of it and she knew she did it. I am so proud of her and love how she chose to go back up there and end the year with closure especially after how it started. She is literally the strongest women I know and how amazing of a role model is she for Monroe and Roc for that matter, how you get back up and face your fears, get back up and try again. If Mariah can do it in front of millions of people across the world, we can do it for ourselves. God, I love this woman. And watching some of the instagram videos posted by her team, you can totally sense the elation on all of them since you know who is gone and how genuinely happy the mood really is. I loved seeing her with the kids and yes, Bryan too while NY was being played on TV. They totally looked amazed. I really hope we are in for an amazing year, we have all come a long way as a lamibly since last NYE.

Congratulations Eric on keeping the most recognized Mariah fan site going and for your hard work and decication for 20 years. Keeping news updated, monitoring daily messages, adding appearances, new music what have you. It takes dedication. Back when it was all new, there was MC Archives and Mariah Daily. You have outlived and surpassed Mariah Daily. Cheers to 20 more.

Re: Hero? (80,134) (80,138) by Mara from United States
Hero is not my choice. Just not a NYE feel good type song. ILT, Heartbreaker with the Guess Who's Back and Jay coming out is a sure party starter. Fantasy is an automatic feel good song. I actually like the idea of her showcasing vocals with My All and then going into ILT and her iconic pose. Anything but Hero. At this point I think even the non lambs or "general public" are sick of that one.

Yes they are. AIWFCIY and LC two of today's modern classics from a male group/vocalist George and of course female MC.
Love them both. Hard year to be a Mariah fan and a George fan with this race to number one in the UK.

Golden Globe (79,813) by Mara from United States
Congratulations Mariah. If this isn't verification enough that you still have that special quality in you then I don't know what it. The fact that she is sharing this knowing her two beautiful babies are on this song with her, has to feel pretty special if I know MC at all. We know how sentimental she is. What a wonderful way to end 2017, especially with how it started. Getting rid of the dead weight and all it brought along was one of the best moves you have even done. Very emancipating and empowering indeed.

So glad you enjoyed the show. If there was any year to miss, last year was it. I have been to all of the Beacon shows up until this year and I am sad seeing all the reviews, wishing I made it. It's funny how you mention there was a different aura without you know and family who being involved. You can see M and everyone on stage have this relaxed feel to them and a genuiness flowing from them. Last year it was so different. That is mainly why I am so sorry I missed this year. Anyhow, Mariah looked beautiful and being able to see Roc and Roe on stage was a lovely bonus. I realize the show is a replica of the past three years, and she is in need of changing things up if she wants repeat people that are not die hard fans. The only thing that has me perplexed is how she seems to be reading that screen throughout the entire show. Even songs she knows by heart, to every word she says. I had second row center seats last year and even then I don't remember noticing that. I remember in "15" she was interacting with the kids and asking questions casually, did not come off scripted. Even that year she went off and did Christmas In New York and that was totally random as well. But other than that, it looked like an amazing time and I'm glad you got to enjoy it.

I thought the pics she posted were from a few years ago. The one that was posted with Tanaka was from last year in Hawaii and the one in the red dress was a few years ago if I'm not mistaken.

Strangly I was just discussing Martyn last night and log on to read you mentioning the six month anniversary. Martyn would be so happy Mariah is woken up to Stella. I shall have a drink tonight and say "cheers, toast, bravo" to Martyn. We miss you around here. "Till The End of Time".

Roc Nation (79,504) by Mara from United States
Well, I hope this is a good thing. I am cautiously optimistic. What I do think is that Stella will keep her trap shut and turn around like a dog with its tail between his legs. Maybe M felt a sort of loyalty or protection from Jay that she is longing right now since this mess. She may feel Stella will back down and not mess with M if she is associated with JayZ. Maybe she sees how everything with Beyoncé gets shut down instantly and is craving that now. If that is tied to it at all in regards to her decision, I hope it applies to MC as well. I hope this all goes the way M envisions. Very excited to see Mariah at her first show. She is going to come back looking amazing. Let's hope there are no bodysuits this time.

Re: Guilt and innocence (79,311) (79,314) by Mara from United States
I never spoke on anyone that was was accused of sexual harassment, however I do feel that is very strong language that should not be thrown around very easily. Did this man know he was going to be working for Mariah Carey? One of the more shall I say provocative dressing celebrities who is the first person to tell you that her wardrobe consists of lingerie. Her attire has always made us question her sense of style, has it not? If I read this article right, it states he was in a room and asked to move luggage while she was dressed with see through lingerie or an open robe. He states nothing happened and she didn't touch him or anything. I don't know about you but I would think a man in this line of work kinda may see a woman like her dressed "sexy". To compare it to someone like Brett or the others in the news right now is downright wrong and purposely for personal monetary gain or defecation of character.
Could a woman sexually harass a man? Absolutely. Is Mariah a flirt, yes. We have seen that many times. However, the timing of this and everything else just does not smell right to me. I don't think I'm alone here. Very fishy, and hopefull per Motorolla, she will be wrapping fish with this story soon.

Mess (79,305) by Mara from United States
What a mess. Stella is such a bottom feeder and will stoop at nothing. I have a feeling once the Christmas season gets into full force, more and more will come out from these slimeballs. The security guy always had a face I didn't like. He seemed tight with Stella too on that horrific Mariah's scratch that, Stella's world. I mean how obvious can Stella be? At least wait a little while to put out these things. She actually could care less what people think. Does she care that other "potential clients" will never want to work with her? I guess not, because not to be rude but look who she has worked with in the past. The VH1 ratchet reality crew. Well Stells, keep taking that high road and she empowering your girls. You are setting and awesome example. My only problem is poor Monroe (and Roc) had to be subjected to this wretched gypsy woman.

Ha ha yes Sheez. I feel bad for using the word now, but it's my way of just equating it to the end of an era. As much as I dislike Stella, mostly as Mariah Carey's manager, I do not wish that upon anyone. But I am all here for that online party lambs were throwing online. MC's fans are brutal.

It will be a very Merry Mariah Christmas indeed. Praise God. Mariah has awoken. I knew she seemed to be glowing in Foxwoods and seemed liberated all over again. Go on MC and enjoy your special time of year. Good things are coming.

Re: Mariah on tour (79,043) (79,044) by Mara from United States
Yes MusicfanJ. Bringin On The Heartbreak was the highlight. I remember most of Charmbracelet sounded so much better live as she sang in full voice as opposed to the whisper fest on the album. Her running on stage and full voice on Subtle Invitation was also a highlight.

Re: Mariah on tour (79,040) (79,041) by Mara from United States
Licia, Charmbracelet was the first time I saw her too. I saw her in Atlantic City Trump Taj Mahal and it was a night I will never forget. That entrance she made walking through the audience to Heartbreaker in that two piece silver ensemble, spotlight following her through the crowd and then that iconic pose when she got on the stage where she tilts her head around and poses. She was breathtakingly beautiful and she still is, but she was radiant and her vocals were unreal. I loved that tour too. I'll never forget my husband at a blackjack table before the doors opened to the theatre and hearing MC being played at the casino knowing I was actually going to see her in the flesh. What a night, top it off with seeing a commotion near the escalators only to hear "Donald" being chanted and Trump with a long wool coat pulling Melanie along and all you see is his hair in a sea of people. He hardly looked at the roudy guys chanting his name as he made his way to where MC was. Pretty sure he had a thing for her back then. Who wouldn't? She was seriously a vision.
