About RadChad from United States: Mariah is my favorite singer of all time.

Mariah/Idol (37,134) by RadChad from United States
I disagree. I think MC is doing a great job on idol. She's funny, warm, has given great feedback to the contestants, and carried herself very well during the whole feud situation (rightfully defensive yet still classy and mature). As a fan I'm completely satisfied with her presence on the show thus far. I'm not understanding what more people could want or expect from her as a judge. Mariah is more of a nurturing mentor and less of a harsh critic, so I believe she will be even more great during the live shows. I'm looking forward to it.

Album tracks / remixes (36,963) by RadChad from United States
I always felt the same way as Jenny, most of my favorite songs have been songs on the album more so than the singles. Vanishing, To Be Around You, Music Box, Long Ago, Close My Eyes, Bliss, Lead The Way, The One, Circles, Thanx 4 Nothin, and Inseparable (just to name one from each album) are some of my favorite songs that remained on the albums.
On another subject, I also concur that Mariah's remixes are beyond the best. I will go as far as to say you haven't really heard Mariah sing unless you've heard her "Dreamlover", "Fantasy", and "Honey" Def Club Remixes.

Variety of preferences in Mariah's sound (36,920) by RadChad from United States
It's intriguing that though we're all lambs, we have different preferences in Mariah's catalogue of music. I agreed with the person that said they could never really get into "Stay The Night" from TEOM, I thought it was just me because most of the people I know love that song and see it as a standout track. On the contrary I absolutely love "One and Only" (still bump it today; it's one of my "go to" tracks), and yet others have stated they skip over that one. It's great that Mimi still has it in her to please everyone (something for everybody). Her recent performances have been very promising for the future. She must have really been nurturing that voice. I hope she continues to do whatever she's doing and continue to grow back stronger and stronger vocally.

Christmas Time Is In The Air (36,852) by RadChad from United States
MC rocked this performance last night. Her falsetto has been consistently on point live lately and now she's nailing the big notes. I'm just on cloud 13 right now. The voice, stage presense, and confidence is surely making its way. Please keep it going Mimi.

Nicki dissing Mimi (36,801) by RadChad from United States
I haven't heard the new diss track from Nicki, but I'm already ready for an internet leak of "Clown Part II". People forget that Mariah is pretty nice with her pen game too.

Mariah/Tommy/lambily (36,768) by RadChad from United States
Okay, so who doesn't need a great team behind them to be successful? Whitney - Clive Davis, Celine - Rene Angelil, Janet - Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Beyonce - her Daddy... you get the point. So saying Tommy helped Mariah become who she is goes without saying. However, implying that she would be nothing without him, is where I disagree. We all know (or should all know) that Mariah's vocal and musical genius is all her, and everything is everything what is meant to be will be. In other words, Mariah was destined for stardom and if Tommy didn't give her the big push, it's my belief that someone else would've. Not discrediting Tommy for his investment in Mariah, but I will say he probably needed her more than she needed him in the long run. I would've actually loved to have seen the direction Mariah would've taken had she not be stifled in the beginning. Maybe she would've won more Grammies and been more acclaimed as a songwriter. I believe not having that balance in the beginning is what probably caused Mariah to go overboard with certain things i.e. dressing sexy, collaborating with every rapper that exist on the planet, partying (drinking more). Otherwise I believe she would've been just fine and continued to develop/progress artistically without the iron thumb on her. On the flip side, had she stayed with Tommy, I'm not sure if she would've been able to have the impact she's had in music to date. If Tommy would've kept her captivate, she would probably only be regarded as a great singer from the 90s that got lost in the mix. If she was held back as an artist, people may be saying "Remember Mariah Carey? Whatever happened to her?" Just a thought.

Merry Christmas II (36,712) by RadChad from United States
I agree, the album is intimate, soothing, and has a very spiritual feeling to it. I have more than one favorite: O Little Town Of Bethlehem, The First Noel, When Christmas Comes, Christmas Time Is In The Air, but all the songs are enjoyable. I actually enjoy both albums equally, both classic Christmas albums in my book.

Dear Nicki (36,668) by RadChad from United States
You will never be Mariah's match. You failed miserably when you lost your cool that day, don't get ahead of yourself. Sincerly, RadChad

Nikki (36,615) by RadChad from United States
Right! Justin wouldn't have added anything to that song IMO. Plus, I heard a rumour that Justin's people didn't really want him to do (or release) it because Mariah wasn't considered to be "on fire" during that period. Flash forward to the Mimi era, rumour had it that he was now interested in releasing the song. SMH. I'm glad Mariah didn't agree to it. Moving on, I absolutely loved Aaliyah (since day one) and always wondered if MC had any influence on her singing style. A duet between the two would've been heavenly.

MOAIA/ The legacy continues (36,566) by RadChad from United States
I'm agreeing with everyone that loved "Memoirs". She had so many great songs that I still listen to on the daily: "Becha Gon Know" (awesome), "Candy Bling" (stone groove), "Hate U", "Inseperable", "Its A Wrap", "Languishing" along "The Impossible", "Angels Cry". I believe many have just simply slept on this album. Grant it to do want MC to constantly branch out musically, but I actually believe one or two tracks from The Dream could be a nice touch. So far we know Rodney Jerkins and R. Kelly has also contributed to the album, so I'm not too worried about the album not sounding fresh. I believe Mariah has heard us out, so let's just see where she takes us with the new ballad before we go in.

Number 12? Lol (36,507) by RadChad from United States
At this point I'm convinced she's just bassing in the attention she gets from her opposing views. It must be addictive. I mean, why else would anyone on this board put MC last on their "best" list?

Oh ok (36,498) by RadChad from United States
We get it now. You are not Mariah's biggest fan (she's not your favorite singer), you just like her in passing (casual fan). That explains alot.

Early influences (36,479) by RadChad from United States
First I will start by saying Mariah, Whitney, and Celine are considered the vocal trinity, meaning that they are all equally the best singers of all times. Ofcourse MC is my personal favorite. Having said that I never felt or saw where Mariah copied Whitney or tried to be like Whitney (and I remember the 80s before Mariah's debut). I've always felt like Mariah had her own authenic thing going as an artist (even Whitney stated that). Now as far as early influences or who she grew up listening to, I would say Aretha Franklin, Minnie Riperton, Stevie Wonder, and the Clark Sisters are most likely her biggest influences (the people I've heard her mention as influences earlier on). If anything I could hear Aretha and Minnie's, and maybe some Chaka Khan influences in Mariah's before I hear Whitney. Don't get me wrong, I do see some parallels, very small though, and probably because of the label back then, but MC has made her own mark in music history and she wouldn't have been able to if she was in anyway a copy cat artist.

Putting the fued to rest (36,454) by RadChad from United States
Nicki didn't embarrass nobody but herself (by getting loud and ignorant with Mariah). Most of the world is on Mariah's side and has gone in on Nicki for acting/reacting the way she did (whether Mariah was shady or not). Speaking of which, how do we know Nicki didn't push Mariah's buttons first? The point is, just because somebody acts out or blow up, doesn't mean it's always justified. Yes, she was reacting to something MC said, but overracting by losing self control and professionalism is the issue. Having said that, believe it or not, I'm officially over this situation, it's been a week now and it appears Mariah is moving on and enjoying life and I guess Nicki is doing the same. If they can make peace, put it behind them, and work together professionally moving forward, then its all good with me. I actually think it would be great if they made up on the live show and perform UOMF together to officially bury the hatchet. The end.

Really? (36,435) by RadChad from United States
Wow, some of you are some kind of fans calling Mariah's children "funny looking". Not cool. But moving along, I was a fan of Nicki before this incident, but the way she conducted herself with MC turned me from high to completely off. Now had a video leak of her just simply checking Mariah in a classy manner or them just having a normal bicker then it would be no love or respect lost. Blowing up like that showed that whatever MC said got the best of her. But unless Mariah snatched her clown wig off and kicked one of her butt implants out, then her reaction was completely uncalled for.

What I'd like to hear on the new album (36,359) by RadChad from United States
After watching the club performance, I would love for her to do a jazzy soulful piano remake of "Summer Time". I think with this album she should mix energetic uptempos with vocals (modern day Emotions/To Be Around You) and strong soulful ballads where she's using her lower register (Vanishing/Never Too Far, but something new sounding). Her signature gospel/inspirational songs, a introspective song always leaves me fulfilled (FLAB, I Wish You Well, Languishing). I just want her to write and sing from her heart. So to sum up the album, I would say it should be a throwback yet has a fresh sound.

The first time (36,191) by RadChad from United States
Like many 80s babies that grew up in The 90s. The first song that caught my attention was the emacalate "Vision Of Love". I had to be in 2nd or 3rd grade at the time, and remember for first time being blown away by a singing voice. I grew up in hearing many great singers, but NONE moved me like Mariah did even at that young age. I didn't become completely obsessed though until 95 when The "Fastasy" video came out, this was the year that it all came together, that MC was not only gorgeous, and the most amazing singer ever, but also a musical genius. After falling in love with MC in the Fastasy video, I discovered that this was the same woman that sung "Vision Of Love", Emotions, Hero etc. I then realized that Mariah's music has followed me every since she debuted on the scene and I've always subciously loved all her songs. The first album I owned was the Christmas album which was a gift from my sister, I don't think I need to go into how this album helped make Christmas even more awesome each year since. The first album I purchased was Music Box, and I received DayDream as a birthday gift (a year after its release) which is still my favorite Mariah album to date with some close seconds. I don't think there will be another artist in this lifetime that will move and inspire like MC. I will always love that woman unconditionally for many reasons.

Disgruntle Goats (36,139) by RadChad from United States
It's funny how people can come on here and be very negative about a career decision Mariah has made, but then get mad/ defensive when someone else voice their opinion regarding those negative comments. It's fine to voice your opinion (good or bad) in a respectful way, but when you go too far (cross a certain) be prepaired to get checked. Just like you're entitled to your opinion, so are we and we will voice them as well. Good day.

Lashonda (36,118) by RadChad from United States
I couldn't agree more. It's almost like it isn't a fan site anymore, but more of a bash site. It's a lil disheartening to come here and see Mariah getting dragged by her own fans, while the public does the same. I actually like the new song now as well, after just listening and giving it a fair unbiased chance. I understand that we all aren't going like every Mariah song the same, but I do believe as fans we shouldn't be so quick to count her out/give up on her, but go that extra mile to give where she is musically a fair chance. If we love and respect her as an artist and she wants to make a song about being triumphant, then why can't we put our bias opinions about what we want her to do musically aside and try to understand why she felt the need to release this song. As long as the music is honest, then people or self proclaimed fans shouldn't unapologetically drag her through the mud and prophecy doom on her career.

New Mariah (36,088) by RadChad from United States
I can admit that intially I was disappointed with the hip/hop version of "Triumphant", but after a few listens, learning the lyrics, and getting into the melody. The song is really not bad at all. It's better than half the stuff on present radio for sure. I feel apart of people's distaste for the song stems from them insisting on not liking and/or not allowing themselves to give the song a fair chance based of it not being what they wanted from MC or was expecting from her this time around. So I challenge everyone to put their bias aside and give it a faIr chance.
I bet you'll like it more than before. On another note, Mariah was straight up stunningly banging in the video. Everything about her was on point. The video was a good look.
