About Malcolm from Asia:

Re: Article: Why NYE performance was a "chaotic mess" (73,032) (73,033) by Malcolm from Asia
This will always go down to Mariah and how she's okay with it. Being in the industry for 27 years, I thought she knows better.

"Mariah Carey blames 'everybody'..." (73,017) by Malcolm from Asia
If she's not really upset why bother giving a commentary like that? Just get over with it already, she's just adding fuel to the fire. I can't believe that she stoop down to this level, she's an artist and a musician for goodness sake. I guess it's really hard to do a damage control when your team are the one who damages your reputation in the first place. Wake up Mariah.

Re: "From diva to laughing stock" (72,949) (72,952) by Malcolm from Asia
Everyone's laughing at her now, even the people in Good Morning America. Definitely all of the people who suddenly joined the bandwagon lost some respect for her and I believe it's not even about that NYC fiasco, it's about the way her team treated and responded to that situation, it was just plainly unprofessional and not worth it for Mariah. Just by looking at their faces while they talk about her, you can see the effect of such action, it's sad that it went this way. Great job Stella, great job. I'm hoping for a miracle that Mariah will realize that this is not the path for an artist like her and fire that woman. "It's like I'm the only one that has to make five million comebacks." Nope there's no comeback for you anymore, just take care of your voice, your health, and your kids and work on how your image will be fixed and how your legacy will leave on. Just embrace the fact that you're a legend now and always remember that never burn bridges, and maybe, just maybe, that comeback will happen naturally.

Re: Finally able to speak (72,887) (72,894) by Malcolm from Asia
It's okay to speak out but the thing is, it should've been well mannered. It'll be more acceptable if she didn't interrupt the interviewer like that and just spoke generally. Seriously that stupid remark just made her more self-obsessed and doesn't really care about her surroundings other than herself. It just wasn't cool and I can now clearly see the influence of that Stella on her. There's always a right time and right place for everything.

Re: The Grammys foiled me (72,830) (72,840) by Malcolm from Asia
Well, there's no hope that she will ever perform on that stage ever again or even winning another one after that comment. I will laugh my ass off if she will accept something from them in the future. Get your shit together Mariah, you can't even finish a sentence now and can't express your thoughts clearly and calmly. You seem aloof, what is happening? Do yoga or something so that your inner peace would be under control. This is not good.

Re: Vision of Love at Jimmy Kimmel (72,769) (72,776) by Malcolm from Asia
It was just great, if only that performance was the one that aired, if only. I also read the comment section and these people just really know Mariah as this rude diva and lip synching queen, they claimed and asked if that was lip synced. Also the dislikes is never ending, it's worse, it's like Mariah kidnapped someone or stole something from them with the kind of hate she's receiving. I just hope her ever amazing team will see that and realize that it's time to rebuild Mariah's image. She doesn't deserve this.

Vision of Love on Jimmy Kimmel (72,745) by Malcolm from Asia
So apparently there's a VOL performance but Jimmy Kimmel Live doesn't have the time to air it. I hope they'll upload it to their channel or better yet in Mariah's Vevo account. I'm looking forward to that.

Jimmy Kimmel Live (72,726) by Malcolm from Asia
She's nervous as hell and it affects her stage presence. It's not that bad, it's just the song doesn't fit for a live performance like that. She should've worn jeans instead of ball gown, that outfit suits for the ballads. On to the next one.

Beyoncé's isolated vocals on Grammys (72,689) by Malcolm from Asia
I quite sure Beyoncé's team did this to boost her credibility as a vocalist. Given the fact that Mariah's career is now into gimmicks and leaking stories and photos whatsoever, might as well do that too to help Mariah at least gain a little bit respect from the general public again. Leak an isolated vocals from Mariah's Vegas show or any concert that her vocals is on point, preferably Vision of Love because that's the only song that she's doing straight up live. Send it to TMZ or Daily Mail, we know Stella is so good at it.

Re: Along the lines of #89 (72,668) (72,686) by Malcolm from Asia
Besides the marriage thing, I think Mariah and her team became too comfortable with the massive success of TEOM that they believed any song that Mariah will release that time will be a hit. I just wish that the album was well-thought-out and not took it easy because there's so many potential hits there.

Re: Sad to say (72,651) (72,685) by Malcolm from Asia
I agree. Imagine if she does all of that and just have the residency in Vegas, some occasional tours, few guestings on TV and appearances in those major award shows, her legacy and music will be much more appreciated. Look at Celine, I think that's the perfect example of a career fit for a legend. And if the situation was like that, who knows maybe she can release another album and it will be straight up to #1 as long as the main goal is to celebrate her success and the legacy and not to compete with the current pop stars and leotard bullsh*t.

Re: Along the lines of #89 (72,641) (72,646) by Malcolm from Asia
I think it's because the song was released in the same week as the Superbowl. There are a lot of Lady Gaga songs that re-entered the Hot 100 so I guess if there was no Superbowl, it charted at 60-70. And after Superbowl, there's the Grammys, so I think it's good that she performs after these huge events.

Re: Grammy's (72,585) (72,590) by Malcolm from Asia
Another thing is that people still mentions and pokes fun at Mariah whenever there's a technical issues on the show, like on what happened to Adele, a lot of people said things like "Do you see that Mariah Carey? That's how you handle messing up on stage." I still believe that Mariah could've been handle the situation better but give her a break, first of all it was New Year's Eve, you can't just re-start like that, New Year will not start at 12:05. They mentioned her again during Beyonce's performance, they said that a pregnant Beyonce looks like a normal Mariah, how rude these people are. Because of that Stella's unprofessional management and wrong career decisions for Mariah, look what she did, Mariah just earned more hate. A new management is just the only hope for Mariah from all of this. It's heartbreaking.

Re: Major events (72,572) (72,587) by Malcolm from Asia
But Benny seems very happy with JLo and really have a friendship beyond work and I think JLo's record sales don't matter to Benny anymore because she has other major side projects, and successful ventures at that. On a side note, seeing JLo on the Grammy's earlier seems weird to me, I don't know if this is the effect of the JLo vs. Mariah lol but whenever the spotlight is on her, she acts so gullible and I can feel the vibe that she wants the spotlight so much that she acts so extra. There's this one skit where James Corden invites JLo and other "real" singers to join him in a carpool karaoke, and I can't remember who it was but there's someone that giving the mic to Ms. Lopez for her to sing along but she refused and just do some poses and act beautiful instead.

Re: Grammy's (72,566) (72,580) by Malcolm from Asia
What if Stella wants to but Mariah is the one who declined? But I agree, even just her presence there and seeing her socializing with other artists will do her image good. I can say that the passion on her is still there but it's not like as it was back in the day and apparently it's not enough to make her go to these awards shows anymore, like literally she has her own world. Even Celine is there and it's nice how they introduces her for an event like this, it really fits for a legend like she is, but on the other hand, seeing Mariah's peers on those award shows makes me sad for her because she should've been treated like that, she should've been celebrated like that but nope, Mariah chooses the other direction. She's just so out of touch from the music industry, it's disappointing.

Re: Just a thought (72,546) (72,554) by Malcolm from Asia
Oh I thought they credited The Emotions for it. Well, that's probably the reason why Mariah didn't take legal actions about what Ariana did. Her team is smart then, like I can imagine that they really study Mariah for Ariana. I want to believe that all of that was her label's idea, they really dig deep to use Mariah as a vehicle for Ariana's stardom and I also believe that Ariana was a sincere Mariah fan back then, it's just that she played along with it to shaped her to be in the same category as Mariah and I think the comparisons somewhat made her diva antics acceptable this early in her career. Before I believe that Mariah really have no idea who Ariana was, but now, I think it's impossible that she didn't heard the things Ariana and her label did and I think that's really the reason why she seems cold about Ariana and not solely about that "Ariana is the new Mariah" like it's deeper than that.

Just a thought (72,532) by Malcolm from Asia
What if the reason why Mariah seems playing coy towards Ariana is because she (or her record label ) did this song for her album but didn't credit "I've Been Thinking About You" as a sample and inspiration for it. I wonder why Mariah didn't take legal actions about that.

Hashtag expose Stella. Calling LA Reid or whoever it may concern, hire someone better and knowledgeable to manage Mariah in the music department.

Re: Weird era (72,375) (72,378) (72,390) by Malcolm from Asia
If Brett is a good friend, why recommend a person who doesn't have an experience and credibility on managing stars like Mariah? And Mariah for eventually hiring her, what is she even thinking? Didn't she have that other options or even advisers to make an awful decision like that? She's more than this, she deserves better than this. Quality first before everything. Having a phenomenal era in the 90's and that Glitter meltdown to Emancipation, she should know by now how these things work. Can we turn back time? Ugh.

Re: Weird era (72,375) (72,378) by Malcolm from Asia
The scary part of that whole #1 music video thing is Stella might continue doing that kind of rubbish visuals and will just settle to it. Madonna produces more iconic, well-taught, and creative music videos until now, plus interactive and beautiful website and smart marketing and promotional vehicles and this is what Mariah can only give? That's not even about proving her worth because it's true she doesn't have to anymore, it's about showing her professionalism and keep doing her best as an artist. Having a great management is one thing but if the artist doesn't care in all aspects of it, it will eventually be a waste. Kudos to Madonna for being so passionate with her work, sorry but she's such a bad ass.

Re: Morgan (72,353) (72,373) by Malcolm from Asia
How messy her family is, it's just sad. No wonder why she's always been eccentric. I just hope she have other best friends that we don't really see in public like a relationship that she always have the communication besides Roc n Roe, because if not, that is the saddest part of all.

Re: Weird era (72,327) (72,331) by Malcolm from Asia
In Mariah's own words, "if this is the career path that they choose, hope they can achieve longevity". It will get weirder and weirder as long as there's this self-proclaimed empowered and foul mouthed woman behind her shadow together with her protégé/daughter who keeps messing around a legend's social media accounts and have the audacity to caption "think so muthafu&@as".

Re: General public (72,247) (72,252) by Malcolm from Asia
I hope Mariah tries not starring in her music videos like what Sia and Justin Bieber did. I think in that way, people will more focus in the message of the song and the lyrics. Imagine having great actors who will interpret a Mariah ballad visually, that would be interesting.
